Easy to install
Easy to install, worked fine. Should have bought it in the first place as I had problems with the "universal" sensor I ordered at first.

Everything pointed to a defective stack flue sensor including the code so I replaced it. However, my problem turned out to be a fried motherboard. Meanwhile, this item was reasonably priced and well made. Even though I didn't really this sensor, I chose to keep it and replace the one that was in my heater.

So far so good
My pool guy replaced my sensor two years ago and charged me an arm and leg. When it failed again this year, I bought this and replaced it myself in 10 minutes. So far, it has lasted the entire season and cost me a fraction of what my pool guy charged me.

These sensors don't last. I have installed at least 4 of them, and got call backs on all 4 that were installed. It's almost as though the leads are not able to sustain the temperatures produced with high usage of heaters. I am a commercial technician, so the heaters I install these on are used heavily.

Buy genuine replacement parts!
First one lasted 1.5 months before getting error code again. I took cover off heater and found one of the lead wires had come out of sensor. I called the company and they sent me a replacement. The replacement lasted 1.5 weeks. I took cover off, leads in tact. Seeing nothing else wrong I called the local pool repair company. After checking rest of unit repairman checked the sensor. As soon as he touched it one of the leads fell out of sensor. $125 for service call plus a new sensor and unit running like a champ again. Would have given it a 1 but company was quick to send a replacement the first time.
