Works perfect with thumb drive and google tv with Chromecast. I used the power brick and cable that came with the google tv. Works perfect with local files on usb drive using vlc on GTV with chromecast.

Was able to use this with Chromecast with Google TV and split to a non power USB ethernet adapter. Only downside is it didn't provide enough power when using USB memroy card, I assume it was drawing too much power. Works as expected, if you want ethernet and to add more memory consider buying a hub that supports its own power source maybe. But did what I wanted it to.

Definitely a data passthrough to power and transfer data. I got this hooked up to an micro SD card reader and it reads fast enough for the chromecast. Use a high power usb c to usb c 40w brick and cable btw.

I needed this for my Chromecast and it works great and it came fast. I will be buying from this seller again.

I already had a USB to ethernet adapter and needed ethernet on my Chromecast with Google TV. This worked perfectly for that.

Very easy to use for external storage on the Chromecast Google tv

I was hopeful to be able to use OTG and charge my Android phone while using Octo4A to monitor my 3D printer. No good. Would either charge or connect to the printer, not simultaneously. Bummer. I tried multiple charging bricks up to 65w with no luck.

Hice pruebas con el cable OTG y puedo decir que sí me funcionó con el Chromecast with Google TV, solo hay que tener en consideración lo siguiente: 1) Si quieren conectar un USB o disco duro para consultar películas que hayan comprado y que hayan respaldado, la unidad debe estar formateada en FAT32 (hice pruebas únicamente con un USB de 16GB). Para poder leer un USB con formato NTFS o exFAT, se requiere comprar un plug-in en la PlayStore por separado. 2) Si quieren instalar una aplicación en su Chromecast desde el USB, primero deben habilitar las opciones de desarrollador del Chromecast (es el mismo procedimiento que se hace en un smarthphone) revisen que esté en formato FAT32 y luego con alguna app que les permita navegar por el dispositivo, seleccionan la *.apk y la instalan (a título personal, para cargar una app me parece más sencillo hacerlo por transferencia WiFi). 3) Pueden también conectar un teclado alámbrico. 4) Encontré videos de personas que les conectan un dongle bluetooth de mouse y teclado y les funcionó. 5) Si lo que quieren es tener muchos dispositivos conectados, como por ejemplo varios discos duros o una cámara para hacer videollamadas con GoogleDuo, tal vez deberían conseguirse un OTG con más entradas, pero eso implicaría un gasto adicional, porque su alimentación de corriente puede que no sea suficiente para que funcione (aquí en Amazon también pueden encontrarlos). Volviendo al tema principal, si lo que quieren es conectar un USB o un teclado (como yo), este aditamento no necesita configuración adicional, lo hace y bien.

Pedí este cable para poder colocarle más almacenamiento a mi Chromecast tv, en cuanto llegó le conecte el cable de corriente y una memoria USB y en pocos segundos ya estaba disfrutando. Fue una buena compra. Muy práctico.

Neither of the USB ports worked on this device. I bought this to allow charging of my S20 phone while listening to wired headphones on the other USB port. The phone didn't get any charge, and the headphones also were intermittent, and cut out entirely.
