Q: My dog had a neck size 19 inches .. will the large collar be able to adjust appropriately to fit him?

No. I bought the large collar for my dog and it did not fit him. Says it fits 20-26 inches but did not. It is not returnable, unlike other commenters have mentioned. Amazon said that it was non-returnable.

I bought a med and large the med was to small and returned. My dalmation weighs 58 lbs for a medium breed dog. The collar is excellent quality. Hope this helps you.

Q: Does this work for dogs with slender necks/heads? Got a doberman that keeps slipping his head out of his current collar

I have dealt with Greyhounds (who also have a slender neck/head) and my advice for a Doberman would be to go with a Martingale collar.

Who cares. It's a product label on a dog collar. I think your dog cares more about going for a walk than the label on his/her collar.
