The recently reborn Blind Melon will release their first studio album in thirteen years this spring. It introduces new singer Travis Warren as a replacement for late front man Shannon Hoon, who died in 1995. Warren joins original members Rogers Stevens, Christopher Thorn, Brad Smith, and Glen Graham. "This record's a great rock 'n' roll record," Warren says. "It's kind of like (1995's) 'Soup' - the more you listen to it, the more it grows on you." Without eschewing familiar Blind Melon sounds, the album ventures off on tracks like "Sometimes". According to Warren, "We definitely want to experiment and do different things."

Great album brining old and new sounds together
I really enjoy this album, songs are great and catchy. Highly recommend for any blind melon fan. Travis Warren does a great job bringing his own touch to the band and yet giving it that nostalgic 90's Hoon feel to the songs also. I heard the band is recording again after a 10 yr hiatus. Heard a song but doesn't have the same feel, maybe it will grow on me but for right now this album of on my repeat listening to list!

Good Start
This is their first CD in a very long time. And while no one can replace Shannon this new guy isn't half bad. However, there is a few disconnects in the songs. I think more time together will fix these little wrinkles. The second CD will really be the one that tells if this band will be staying or not.

It’s Blind Melon. It’s great.
Travis did such an excellent job both singing and with the lyrics. This exceeded every expectation

Its not "Soup" ...
This album start off strong w/ "For My Friends" and "With the Right Set of Eyes" but it falls off after that. The lyrics are pretty poorly written, and for the most part it is just a boring album. The new lead vocalist tries to sound like Shannon at times, but it just doesn't have the same amount of soul to it. I love Blind Melon and really appreciate Shannon even more after listening to this one. If you want to check out Blind Melon get Soup or Nico.

good vibes
I really like that album, it's full of very positive songs. Travis (the new singer) is perfect, he is not Shannon but he does a great job. The other Blind Melon guys are amazing musicians and seeing them live is something you have to do if you have the opportunity.

Really Good
I buy this CD because I'm a Blind Melon fan, and I buy all the CD's with Shanoon leading the band, and I want to know more about the band without Him, really change for good and don't disapoint the quality.
