Winsome Wood Claire Accent Table, Black

This is a nice little end table that I purchased as a night stand for my bed. If you’re looking for a no frills basic real wood end table with a drawer then this is a great value. There are a few drawbacks that I’ll list but the value is awesome at this price point so I kept it at 5 stars. The previous nightstand drawer set that I purchased before this one from a local big box store was letting off a horrible odor. By the end of the first week I was getting headaches so I returned it. It was probably out gassing god knows what chemicals. And it was double the price of this Winsome piece! I’m happy to say that this Winsome table passes the sniff test. There is no smell at all. I also like that on the outside of the box it lists that it is formaldehyde phase 2 compliant, etc. It matches the description in terms of natural wood color. It also has a nice shine on it from the clear lacquer coating that Winsome uses. I wanted to find natural oil only when I was looking but it was cost prohibitive for me personally and clear lacquer is pretty safe once it’s cured. Some of the reviews I read before purchasing this table stated that it was not real wood which I can say is not true. All pieces are indeed real solid wood other than the slat that serves as the bottom of the drawer - which appears to be some type of cheap pressed particle board. So let’s get to dimensions to wrap it up: this piece is small but has enough surface to fit everything I need next to the bed. The drawer has a very shallow depth however and many things other than a remote control or similarly sized items won’t fit. The drawer appears larger in the picture. The table is a bit shorter than I would have liked but my bed has a high frame so it would likely be closer to level with a traditional mattress and box spring set up. I can still reach down to it easily though so it’s adequate. This piece took me almost an hour to assemble. And that was using a power screw driver too. Assembly was very straightforward. Overall this is a great little table, ships super fast, and is perfectly priced. Highly recommend it!

This night stand is the perfect color and size for almost any bedroom. Easy to assemble and the price was good. Would definitely buy again.

After reading other reviews, I figured I'd give it a try. The box was beat up and looked like it had been opened. The sealing tape was so loose I wasn't sure everything was still there. Luckily, that was the Amazon shipping box. The factory box was still sealed. It went together fairly easy and quick except some of the screws were hard to tighten and I had to press down very hard to get them completely tightened. The screws that held the drawer together needed a Phillips screwdriver to put it together. The drawer knob wouldn't tighten completely. My DIL took it off and got it on correctly. As others said, the drawer drops down when you pull it out . That could probably be fixed if they had rails on the sides of the drawer, too. It seems a little off on the legs but when placed on carpet, it isn't noticeable. It is pretty heavy. Everything considered, it is pretty good value for the money and will serve my purpose. Also, should add that the package arrived at my door opened. Since someone is always home and brings packages inside immediately, it was delivered this way. The packing box was loosely taped with sealing tape like what you have in a tape gun. Taped so loosely that the tape was like a handle. The inside box was intact. It looks like Amazon personnel opened the box to see if they wanted to steal the merchandise and didn't want it so attempted to reseal the packing box for delivery.

If you are limited on space this versatile lamp table has a shelf and a drawer. Perfect for end table or bedside table. Comes assembled and available in dark or light wood. Reasonably priced and provides storage for small items to be stored conveniently.

I own several pieces of Winsome furniture (as well as many other brands of 'self-assembled' furniture) but this little accent table is perhaps my favorite in terms of looks and quality. I purchased this for use as a nightstand in my bedroom and it's a perfect fit in that regard. The accent table is made entirely of wood with the exception of the drawer bottom. I nearly tossed the drawer bottom away thinking it was part of the packing materials - then had a mini-panic attack thinking I was going to have to pack everything up to ship back because of a missing part. So, just as an FYI, the drawer bottom is a piece of white colored cardboard type material with a laminate coating (don't throw it out!!) Although it would seem too flimsy for use as a drawer bottom, it's quite sturdy once assembled; though I wouldn't recommend using the drawer to store anything unusually heavy. The box was easy to carry into the house and up to the second floor on my own; and I'm a light weight. Assembly was also a breeze as I was able to put this together on my own in no time flat; though help from a second person would certainly be ideal. It would be helpful to have someone hold the legs upright while securing them to the table top, as well as someone to hold the second level shelf in place while it's being secured to the legs. All hardware comes included but you will need a Philips head screwdriver of your own since the turn key wrench only works for some of the enclosed hardware. The screw hole covers (little, wooden, rounded buttons/domes) add a nice subtle, decorative touch in the finished product. I did find a minor nick in the wood on the table top, but it's hardly visible and it's been my experience that a few defects are usually the norm when it comes to self assembled furniture. Overall; I'm very happy with my new nightstand. The price is right, the quality is what I would consider to be above average and it's a very nice looking and functional piece.

I bought 2 of these to put in a short-term rental. I needed something sturdy, but cheap enough that I didn't have to worry about damage. These nightstands are made of mostly rubberwood and match the finish on the beds I already have, so they seemed like a good fit. After assembling them, I think they'll work, but they definitely aren't a great value. I highly recommend using wood glue on all of the joints to help it maintain sturdiness over time. Unfortunately, I had many of the problems during assembly that other reviewers. 1. The holes that mount the legs to the bottom side of the tabletop don't line up making it difficult to assemble. 2. There were two screw holes that stripped before getting the screws in all the way. One was in the bottom of the tabletop and the other was in a drawer side. This is another reason for using glue. 3. The hex wrench is made of cheap material and one of them wore out before assembly was complete. 4. On one of the units, one of the drawer sides was made incorrectly and sticks up higher than the other drawer side. It's not because the holes were drilled incorrectly because the groove for the drawer bottom still lines up correctly. After assembly, I had the following issues: A. Both units don't sit perfectly flat when placed on a hard floor (i.e. they rock from corner to corner a little). I will be using them on carpet, so it won't matter for me, but you can fix it easily by placing self-adhesive felt pads on the bottom of the legs. B. On both units, the drawer doesn't fit properly when closed. When the drawer is completely closed, there is a gap between the top of the drawer and the trim piece attached to the bottom of the table. Not only that, but the gap is 2mm on one side and 4mm on the other side. This means that either the drawer sides or the drawer sliders are manufactured incorrectly. It can be fixed with shims, but not easily. C. The table top on one unit has a nick where it was hit with something. No damage to the box and no loose parts inside, so this happened before it was put into the box at the factory.

Well-built, assembly is quick and easy. It looks very nice, and I expect it will last a great many years. I bought is a stand for my sheet-feed photo-copier.

Love this little table. Perfect night stand for my guest bedroom. Very easy to put together. Has a shelf and drawer for extra storage. The drawer fits nicely. Looks great and matches the decor. Pleased with this purchase.

I searched everywhere for the longest time trying to find the right size end table that was attractive, stable and at a decent price. I ordered two of these and am absolutely thrilled with the quality considering that they are not terribly expensive. Drawers are large enough to take remote controls and a few other odds and ends. Whole table is sturdy and colour shown (I purchased walnut although they do have other colours) is almost identical to the actual colour. Very easy to assemble except I stupidly used the wrong screws and put holes right through the top. Contacted the company, explained what I did and offered to pay for the replacement part. They emailed me back about a week later stating that the new top had been shipped and there would be no additional charge. Very nice of them & very generous; they obviously care about their customers. I highly recommend these tables for the quality and price.

Estas mesitas de noche son geniales. Me compré un par esperando no decepcionarme y fue una excelente compra. Armarlas fue sencillo, su instructivo es corto pero ilustrativo. El material se ve resistente, lo único que noté muy frágil es la base del cajón, todo lo demás es una excelente estructura. Llegó en perfecto estado, con todas sus piezas y bien empacado. Las recomiendo ampliamente :)

Okay. So when I received this table, the very first thing I loved about it was the ease in which I was able to assemble it (I tend to sometimes be 'assembly_required-challenged'). The second thing was the quality of the product itself. For the price, it's very sturdy construction. I love the design, and use the drawer to store all of my remote controls (yea, 'all' of them...modern technology and all that, I still wind up with 4 remotes). My one con about this table (and the reason a star was deducted) is the drawer itself. When I first put the table together, the drawer was so tight to the stand itself that it took two hands to open and close it. Now that I've had the table for a while, the drawer has loosened somewhat, so I can now open and close it easily with one hand...but...it still doesn't slide smoothly in all the way. Bit of a design flaw there. All this said though, for the price this is a really nice little stand, and if I ever needed another side table I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same one.
