RAID10 for Operating System
I had a little trouble getting windows installed to my RAID10 array made up of 8 NVMe drives primarily due to the drives and MB being relatively new to the market. HighPoint worked with me to get the firmware flashed so that it would operate properly and show up for installing windows to it. After that, I had super fast speed and zero issues. I'm going with them again for my next build!

Board drivers siezed the addresses of 3 of my 4 installed SSDs
Built a new system using Aorus motherboard and Ryzen Threadripper 7960. Worked beautifully with four SSDs installed in the motherboard. Added the HightPoint 7540 and the software "froze out" three of the four SSDs. I tried all the assignment tricks I know and even when I removed the 7540 and "uninstalled" the drivers, there were residual services. I had to remove all the HighPoint stuff by hand and finally my three SSDs are usable again. Got OWC RAID boards and they work fine and "play well with friends".

Amazing Gear but Needs x16 Lanes
Carefully evaluate if the slot you intend to put this card in has 16 lanes. If you intended to put it in your second PCIe slot, and it says something like this, you only have 4 lanes. PCIe 4.0 x16 Slot (PCIE2), supports x4 mode* With only 4 lanes, the max this card will deliver is 8GB/s, and in reality that sorts out to about 6.4GB/s. Double that to 12 or 13GB/s on x8 lanes. And the advertised max of the card depends on the full x16 physical PCIe Gen4 lanes. You need to install the UEFI driver in order to see the Highpoint card in your pre-boot BIOS/UEFI screens. The OS drivers enable the onboard RAID controller, and the console web app relies on them. If you want to do a software raid instead and run with your NVME's vendor-provided drivers, the whole package works fine without the OS stuff installed. I install and uninstall the driver depending on what I want to do with the storage, it seems pretty stable and doesn't affect the OS.

Works well on new Mac Pros 2023
Got two of these for the new Mac pros. Used to use external Rocket Raid units for many years. The interface is pretty much the same and that's great and the speed is absolutely astronomical. I use 6 chips each. The documentation for the Mac Pro is detailed and was really helpful for both hardware and software. Could not ask for more. Thank you.

Good
It works well with proper drivers.

This is really not much better than the cheap ASUS raid card
This card is almost 9x the cost of the ASUS raid card supplied with amd ASUS motherboards. And after doing crystal mark runs to benchmark the ASUS raid and the ASUS motherboard internal raid, well this card lags or is equal or just smallish faster. I am running only 4 nvme sticks not 8 on this card, since 8 sticks slows this even more as it splits that same 16x PCIe bandwidth

Almost bricked my desktop
This was nothing but trouble, first install it corrupted my BIOS, had to reflash, and I never could get it to see the NVME drives installed in it.

cool stuff
unfortunately, there is very little information about the configuration and application. I recommend the manufacturer to make a video review and test for a better understanding .overall very satisfied

Works very well with my raid 10

My system began to have BSOD issues randomly and unspecified eventlogs to in regards to unknown power loss. While trying to run diagnostics on the system, everything pointed to PCIE issues, where the card was inserted. Card was removed and all the BS went away without any errors. Tried reinstalling the drivers and software and the card back into the box and was met with repeated BS which eventually corrupted my Windows installation. This was being used in a lab environment and we lost a tremendous amount of valuable data and time.
