Aqua Ultraviolet Ultima II 2000 Filter

Purchased this in Nov 2016 for a 1000 gallon koi pond that i heated and covered for the winter at 75f with 2 x 1000kw aquarium heters. this unit acts as both a bio and mechanical filter supplementing a 2500 gph box filter. i coonected to a aquascape force 2800 gph using 1.5 inch pvc within about 4 ft of inbound tank at about 5 ft head for piping. The unit has been working like a charm non stop 7x24 since then absolutely meets expectations and needs. Backflush is easy and effective. 10 koi 15 goldfish. Koi put on 8 inches now about 15 inches gold fish 5 to 7 inches. Water metrics solid and consistent. Highly recommended. 7/18/2020 Update: still working like a champ after almost 4 years. Ran it nonstop over the winter one year when I created a covered heated pond paradise (the water was a stable 73 degrees with two submersible 1000kw water heaters). Cleaned out the unit for the first time this year which was pretty easy. Great Product for my 1000 gallon pond. 11/12/22 UPDATE: Still working like a charm see fall picture. Added a gravity filter to output for return to pond. Backwash monthly. Use Aquaforce 2400 with directly threaded input between male threaded pvc end into pump female threads. Both are rock solid. Water tests consistently very good. Houses 1 3/4 ft koi 2 1.5 ft koi and about 10 2 cent feeded golfish that are now about 5 inches. Alos have Aquapump 260 air pump farthest from pump return going into a 8 inch round air diffuser on pond floor.

The units are a bit pricey, but they do a great job and make cleaning a snap. Well worth the added expense as they are well made, functional quality products. Don't make the mistakes I made, spend the money up front and buy quality rather than cheaper alternatives. I recently did a complete overhauled my filtering and UV systems using the products made by Aqua Ultraviolet and my pond has never been cleaner and easier to maintain. My fish also seem happier now that the water in constantly clear.

Amazing filter. It arrived a day early so I was able to install it right away. I ran the filter for 12 hours straight and the water was so clear. Not only could I see the fish now, but all the way to the bottom of the pond. Bad news is, it’s so clean now that not I need to clean the bottom of the pond. Lol. I couldn’t have been happier with my decision to purchase this filter and would highly recommend it to anyone. What I learned is... you want a filter twice as big as your pond as a minimum.

From the time it was install i could see the bottom of my fish tank [Aquaponics system] in lest than a day love so far 1900gal water over 200 fish and feed two time a day O i live in the Caribbean W.I

Have only been using this filter for a short time, but so far so good. It's a little more complicated when you have to flush/backwash. All in all as of now it seems to be doing a good job of filtering my fish pond.

Have had filter for 3+ years. Works well. Trouble putting it together after cleaning inside. O-ring too large. Leaks at gaps both sides of clamp ring...frustrating.
