I was torn between rebuilding and replacing. I chose to replace because of the instant availability. The price of reconing kits and the limited availability made it a little easier to choose. I was still concerned about putting these in my 4312s. They actually sound great. Accurate, dynamic, pleasing. I am going to hold on to my old le5s and recone someday but in the meantime, I don't miss them. Recommended.

Made in China like a lot of things are these days
These mids do not have the same sound as the original JBL mids. One of the speakers did not fit correctly. Every time I would tighten the mounting screw, it would stop working.I had to reposition the wire that's riveted that goes to the coil. Worked after that. This speaker since you can't buy original ones from JBL is acceptable . Made in China like a lot of things are these days.
