the tiered style left me with more desk space than I knew what to do with. the drawers are basic, somewhat shallow with rods to place file holders on. the area there is big enough though I'll probably customize and remove the top drawer rods and add another drawer. The metal frame makes it very sturdy, though it took me an entire afternoon to assemble. the desk came in two separate packages, thankfully they arrived at the same time, but notes in the packages acknowledge the possibility of them getting separated in shipping. each peace was labeled and assembly instruction were clear on how to proceed.

The desk is made VERY well. It looks good, and is functional. I really like it. The only downside is putting it together. It took about 4.5 hrs. Now having said that, I did not bust my a--doing it. Steady, but not crazy. The instructions are ONLY pictures, nothing written, so TAKE YOUR TIME. Also throw the hex head driver away that comes with it. Use a power driver (set on LOW impact). My daughter works remotely and needed a desk that could accomodate multiple monitors, key board, a lap top etc. Once assembled she loves the functionality of this desk.Dear old Dad, me, had to assemble it for her. There are 2 large rather heavy boxes that did fit in the back seat of our sedan. We used a dolly to get the boxes up to her apartment. I'm a handy guy, but it took me about 3 hours to assemble. Some people recommended a portable drill to install a multitude of screws, but this wasn't practical, since a lot of the spaces had limited room for a power tool. The kit comes with a 4mm Allen key and a Phillips screwdriver, both cheaply made. I had, and would strongly recommend a good quality 4mm Allen bit to fit on the end of a 1/4 drive ratchet, 3/8 might work, and a good quality Phillips screwdriver.The desk is well made and very sturdy. The welds are good and the metal structure and the wooden sections are very substantial. The instructions were mostly clear and there was no issues with parts not lining up properly. The only hangup was one of the pieces was incorrect. It was a duplicate of another metal piece, identical except it was missing a necessary threaded hole. I was able to attach the parts by drilling a 1/4 inch hole through both pieces and purchased 1/4" bolt, self locking nut, and washers. This improv worked fine, but might be a problem to pull off for some folks.I contacted the company about the missing part, in case I might need it later. They were very quick to respond and said they would send it. True to their word, it arrived 2 weeks later, probably shipped from China. I would give this company 5 stars, and I would have given the desk 5 stars, if it wasn't for the incorrrect part.

Pros: sturdy and functional when assembled. The veneer over the particle board seems substantial enough to put up with light abuseCons: it took over 6 hours to assemble because there are no written instructions and the picture directions can become vague on certain steps. For example, I had no clue how I was suppose to pull the drawer guides apart because I just couldn't see clearly the little lever you pushed up on to release the track. After spending an hour trying to grasp what the picture was instructing to do, I finally installed the guides unseparated. Going into the last step of drawer assembly, I saw this was a mistake and had to remove the guides out of the assembled cabinet. It was after removing them and looking at them with a flashlight that I finally saw the tiny release tabs. That in itself increased the assembly an extra 2 hours. The other difficult part was mounting the desktop. I had to wallow out some of the metal pieces holes so I could get the screws lined upDo not misplace any of the many screws! They only send you the exact number for assembly and I was still short of one that fortunately wasn't critical for assembly.One more thing. This came in a badly damaged box but fortunately the particle board pieces weren't damage. The boxes are heavy and you're asking for a nightmare if you think it's going to be an easy return..

This desk was surprisingly strong. I added the drawer boxes and put silicone feet because they moved easily without them. As well, I added the keyboard and mouse drawer and installed it when I assembled the desk! There is an abundance of storage and work area. Merry Christmas to me!!

The instructions could be more thorough; they are diagrams. Said needs 2 people; but I did it myself. Using my own screwdriver was easier that using the one included. Also if you have a drill use it for attaching the metal pieces inside the filing cabinet… you’ll thank me later. Suffice to say I absolutely love my new work space. It has enough room for me to feelComfortable with all my WFH stuff that I think I need. It is worth giving this a shot!Also, tabletop arrived with a gouge in it. The company was able to immediately reply and resolve my issue. Hands down great service and a great desk!

I requested a return from the seller because the desk arrived damaged. The top was totally crumpled in on one side and it's not something we can just touch up with a paint pen and pretend it wasn't there. The 'return label' wasn't a paid postage label - It was one that I had to pay the postage on. If it were the situation that I bought something that I just didn't want anymore, I totally get it. I'd pay the return postage. In this situation, it totally has nothing to do with me not wanting it because I still need an L shaped desk, but that it's totally unusable as is. I messaged the seller asking for a postage paid return label, but haven't heard back yet. So, now I get to spend $50+ to ship a desk back that I literally can't do anything else with, of no fault of my own. Disappointed is an under statement.

Love the style. Great storage with the shelves underneath. Sturdy. It’s nice to keep the monitor up, so there’s more room for paperwork and keyboard. The only downside to me is that both drawers are file sized, I would of liked to have a small drawer for the small items.
