The bed is exactly 100cm. In my opinion it is suitable for an adult provided that you put a decent mattress on it. Having a foot at the end of the bed might restrict a tall adult. I bought two of these for the grandchildren when they stay over with me. The drawers are very spacious and useful. Hope this helps.
