Great simple option for V-mount batteries
Big fan of the smallrig range, they offer good quality rigging kit at a more affordable price range and this falls exactly into that category, works great with multiple rig setups and customisable enough to be something you can work with further down the line when your setup changes too.

Another quality Smallrig Product, so good I bought a 2nd
These fit so good, and are slim so you don't lose room and extend your rig with bulky kit. Feels so much more quality for the price you pay, smooth action on the battery release, what is alo handy, you can bolt other stuff on to the opposite side of the battery mount, I had a Tascam 70DR clamped to the other side of teh clamp which you may see slightly in the second picture with my canaon 700D set up. My sony FS700 set up, I have used two of these V lock clamps to power my rig. Small Rig is a name you can trust for quality products at affordable prices.

Feels sturdy and fit for purpose
A simple, yet light, battery plate for v mount batteries that feels sturdy and reliable. The importance of sturdiness is obviously important, and though I've only had it a short time, it seems capable of holding v-mount batteries that weight at least 1.5kg. Its lightness made it an attractive addition to my gimbal setup (where every gram/ounce counts). Of course, it's just a plate, and offers no power options (so you're stuck with the ones offered by your battery). For situations where I need something more, I use a different option.I like that you can change the mounting point of the rod clamp so that your battery can be oriented either horizontally or upright (in relation to the rods). The plate also comes with a lot of mounting holes (even on the long sides), but I am not really using them.

Great Product
I love everything from Smallrig, well thought out products, built to last and at a great price. I have many products in my kit on film jobs..never let me down. This product is no different, beautiful v/mount adapter.

Stable but retaining pin quite stiff
Holds the battery firm, clamps are storing and decent quality. The retaining pin holding the battery in place is quite stiff which can be difficult to depress in colder temperatures but holds well nevertheless. Need to make sure you depress the pin first and then slide the battery on and wait for it to slowly retract into place rather than just sliding the battery on and assuming it’s going to click and hold firm. It won’t and you’ll probably end up with a battery on the floor!
