A favourite I often return to
This book (or at least the first edition) was a revelation to me in identifying and providing a name for the role I was undertaking. Not only this but it provided an invaluable framework for me to be able pitch myself and my work. Thanks Jamie. This second edition is a welcome and much needed update. A lot has changed, the role of UX and the contexts it sits within have evolved. The four pillars, or tenets, remain in place by name but with a wealth of updated content and supportive insights. The content is as clear and practical as before, but informed by new perspectives.Recommended.

One of the best UX books out there
One of the best books in UX I have read! The author gets straight to the point and you can work through your next UX project step by step using the strategy in this book. Lots of focus on research, talking to your users, validating your ideas, and presenting them to stakeholders. Both beginners and experienced UX designers will find something exciting for themselves.

Disappointing
Fairly basic and high level. Lots of fluff

No UX strategy but a bunch of product strategy techniques
You will get an overview of the UX Strategy framework on page 12 — four tenets that shape it. From there, do not expect any further explanation or examples of UX strategy. The author refers to operational, tactical and strategic levels of UX Strategy only once, and the rest of the book (90%) covers different techniques to inform product strategy. Disappointing!
