the back of the phone in the pictures look like its a pleather backplate with metal side lining
The model looks much cleaner and of much more quality than the actual phone, the back of the phone in the pictures look like its a pleather backplate with metal side lining, yet its actually all cheap plastic. I expected better.

OK as a back-up.
Getting the sim card in place (even with You Tube instructions) was a pain as is entering contacts. However as a security back-up phone, it has given me no problems.

My husband and I are giving up on smart phones due to the level of distraction they cause. They are perfect

Good phone, too bad the decline of 2G makes it nearly useless
K, I need to specify something here. The phone itself is good, assuming this is the kind of phone you want. For me, I wanted to go down to a "dumb" phone for personal reasons, so I got this one. It's cute. It feels a bit cheap (but it *is* $50, and the upside is that it's very light), and despite that it looks fairly nice. The call quality is fairly good, and the speakerphone works well, though I do wish I could turn the volume up a *little* more for those times that there's a lot of background noise & such. The camera isn't great, but again it's what you would expect given the price & type of phone it is. Overall it's fairly easy to use. The downside here is that this ad is a bit misleading. For one, I don't know what the deal is, but my phone arrived with everything in *Spanish*. I figured I know enough Spanish that I could probably figure out how to switch to English, but nope, I had to call Blu customer service to get their help for it. Also, you'll notice the ad says "Canada Compatible". However it is NOT the case that you can use this phone anywhere in Canada. Some reviewers have said it's locked to Rogers, but it isn't - I did some digging and found out the problem is that this phone only works on 2G networks, and a good number of the carriers in Canada currently work on 3G networks. So even though the band frequencies are the same numbers, the difference between 2G and 3G means you can't use this phone on like anything but the Rogers network. It's also a pain - this is a dual sim phone which is great for traveling (and I had intended to use it as such) but it turns out the country I'm going to recently killed its whole 2G network, rendering this phone all but useless in many places. So it's unlocked - don't go buying this thing thinking you can just unlock it, cos it won't work. If you plan on sticking with Rogers, Chatr or Fido for a while (and I'd check to make sure they aren't killing their 2G network anytime soon, either) it's a perfectly good phone for someone who just wants a basic phone. Otherwise, get something else.
