Nothing exciting to say about a scrub pad

Loofah comes from a plant and softens when wet. This sponge is great for wiping up wet messes but does not hold up well for tough messes.

I thought these might be a good substitute for Twist sponges (which have become impossible to find). The loofah is a perfect scrubber, not harming any surfaces. But the loofah part of the sponge shreds within days of use, and the sponge part doesn't last as long as the other brand did. I was surprised because I didn't know there was a difference in quality in loofah products, but there is. I won't be purchasing again. I've instead switched to "unsponges" to reduce adding to the landfill.

Have been buying these sponges for a very long time individually at Whole Foods. Often when we need them, they’re sold out so decided to try Amazon and wa la there they were, in bulk for considerably less. Love these: durable, no scent, and although natural they clean very well. Will order again to make sure I always have my favorite sponge on hand!

I like the look of them and they seem to maybe last a good while.

So far I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality of this sponge, but the ‘scrubbing’ loofah portion is a bit of an adjustment. The material doesn’t slide along surfaces as easily as synthetic fibers, so you have to have a looser grip — which, in turn, sort of feels like a less effective scrubber. I already had a separate scrub sponge for pans, etc. so I just use that if needed. Overall, I’m happy with the product as a soft sponge.
