If I smoosh them in the bottom of my backpack with weight on them, will they pop open and leak?

I've not carried mine in a backpack but I have carried the in my purse and they take quite a beating and have not leaked. I do try to put them to the side so nothing is put on top of them but they slide down sometimes and, as I said, I've never had one leak.
