It all worked out in Boomland.
Although I was around thirteen when this classic album was originally released in 1970, I did not become aware of it until hearing a track by T2 on the fine Decca 3 disc compilation 'Strange Pleasures' in 2008. Liking what I heard I sought to track down the album it came from, 'It'll All Work Out in Boomland'. Found it easily enough but probably paid over the odds for the CD. No matter as I loved it. Only four tracks long but each cut was a distinctly memorable experience and of sufficient length to really absorb the listener. Stark, somewhat sombre but highly melodic. The track 'J.L.T.' is really something special as is 'No More White Horses'. Keith Cross was an excellent guitarist, Peter Dunton an inspired drummer and emotive singer and Bernard Jinks bass playing was distinctive. As with many bands of the period they did not get the right producer nor the label support they needed and they swiftly folded. CD One is the full remastered original album and sounds great. CD Two is probably what would have been the second album for T2 and the songs are all comparable to those on the debut. CD Three is a mix of demos when the band were trying to find a new record label with an amended line up, the talented Keith Cross had left at this stage, all are of interest. All in all this is a very good set and a fine celebration of yet another lost classic album. It did all work out in Boomland.

Lost gem
A list gem. A gigantic guitar album. Typically for the time the vocals are ordinary. READ MY ARTICLE ON THIS ALBUM IN THE NEXT EDITION OF ROCK CANDY.

Highly recommended!
Great early Prog album from T2, the (should have been mega) band that never was. Into Prog generally? You’ll love this album. Very forward looking for it’s time, you’ll hear loads of chords and riffs in this that you can then hear later in Yes, Strawbs, ELP, Floyd etc. Worthy of any Prog collection. Highly recommended!

Love this Album
This fantastic album used to be available on Apple music but has now been taken off( copyright reasons? ) which is very annoying, but can be heard on YT. One track ' No More White Horses' may be found on an album entitled 'Legend of a Mind-The Underground Anthology". In my car playlist this wonderful track is followed by Jackie Lee's 'White Horses'. Quite a contrast!

A shame it was so short lived.
Bought this originally in 1970 after seeing them on a programme called 'Disco 2' on BBC 2. Why it wasn't massive is a big mystery when you remember how cool this music was at that time. Decca's promotion was sadly lacking; had they been signed with a more progressive label like Vertigo it may have been a different story. Keith Cross stands out as a technically gifted power- trio guitarist in a 'musician's band playing well crafted songs. What is there not to like?A#
