Excellent
I researched as much as possible, and for the money this seemed like a great buy. I was right. I haven't been using it for long (think I've made five batches now), but it seems like a great quality device. It gives you full control over temperate (you can go from 25 to 65 degrees, so could even use it as a small sous-vide cooker). The fine mesh sieve is a really nice addition, as are having two pots. I'm still experimenting, but have found using 40 degrees for 10 hours makes a really nice thick and creamy yogurt with a good tangy flavour. I then strain this when chilled for a few hours to remove some excess way (not necessary, but I like my yogurt extra thick). All of this would be doable without an electric yogurt maker, but it would be a major faff. This compact little device is easy to use, easy to clean and gives excellent results. I just hope it's built to last!

Works well
Bought this because it looked identical to branded equivalents but was £20 rather than £30.Easy to use, works. What more can you ask for? I've made greek style yogurt, normal yogurt and cream cheese. All very edible. The cream cheese needs help to avoid blandness. I used garlic paste and salt. Very tasty.Instructions aren't great but ... who reads instructions? (just remember to bring milk to the boil and then allow to cool back to 40c)

Effective Yoghurt Maker
A very good and useful piece of equipment. The accompanying instructions are scant and not always correct.

Simple, quick and excellent results
I bought this item rather than the more expensive but almost identical alternative as kitchen gadgets often do not live up to expectations. Not the case here, this is a great buy. I have prepared both yoghurt and cream cheese in this machine using whole milk and the product is just splendid. The process is simple and easy, the machine is neat and not at all complex and comes with two containers and the large filter needed for extracting the whey. A simple food thermometer is very useful (essential). Highly recommended.

Makes great yogurt
Made great yogurt first time. Very nice and thick and didn’t need to be strained. I used UHT full cream milk, just warmed for 1 minute in the microwave in a jug before adding the culture. Good value and quickly delivered. So far so good…. Really pleased with this yogurt maker.

Excellent yoghurt maker
This makes excellent thick and creamy Greek style yoghurt. Very simple to use.I tried making cheese a couple of times, but soon realised the costs involved and the poor results meant it was not worth my time and effort to continue. But don’t be put off the yoghurt is fabulous!

Doesn't reach 42° as claimed
I've been using this yogurt maker, for yogurt, for the past few weeks. It's a good clear display, and I like that it turns off when done. It's nice having a strainer, and a 2nd pot. Everything stores nested together, so the extra parts don't take any more space. The extra capacity over 1 litre can be helpful. However, although it SAYS 42°C on the display (43 would be better), I've measured it while heating water for 8 hours and it doesn't get over 38°C and much of the time is even less. The resulting yogurt, although it tastes fine, is thinner than I've been making with an old incubator. There's also something odd about the texture (which I had once with my old incubator when it was jarred and vibrated). It barely thickens when I strain it through either muslin or the strainer basket included, even though straining for 2-3x as long as my normal yogurt. The strainer lets a little more more whey through than my muslin, but also yogurt sediment. One has to clean the strainer gently to not damage the fabric parts, and it's tricky to get all the yogurt out.(NB : see photo of strainer, scraped out as much as possible, next to the resulting cloudy jar of whey; clear whey to the right was strained through muslin)I've been making yogurt for a few years, using Yeo Valley as my starter, and an old Cookshop incubator. My results are normally reliable. If you like a soft yogurt and don't know what to expect, this is probably fine, but I was disappointed. I strongly suspect the difference is down to the appliance being unable to maintain the 42°C that it claims. That's in spite of being rated at 25W, when the old Cookshop only takes 8-9W.
