Exactly what I needed
Long story short, I have a POE camera near my ceiling that's powered by a Unifi US-8 60W 802.3af POE switch. My plan was to put this switch there where the camera is instead, all powered thru POE, and daisy chain to my garage and loft for wired access from all rooms.Since I didn't wanna buy a new Unifi Switch since mine doesn't support 802.3bt, I paired this with a 60W POE++ (802.3bt)ninjector (the max power input this switch can take) and it works beautifully. I then put a $40 Unifi Flex Mini (POE) into this switch to have some management capabilities. Would definitely recommend!EDIT: After using this for a long time, note that there's little point putting a managed switch on the other end when there's an unmanaged switch like this in-between. Unifi will still see it, but you're only gonna get 1 LAN/VLAN out of it.So, if your management LAN is 192.168.X.X and you go thru this switch to a managed switch, you can't configure a port to another VLAN and expect it to route - you only get that LAN. Likewise, if you set the VLAN to 10.X.X.X for camera/iot, you only get that VLAN, you can't also expect it to route the 192.168.X.X LAN thru this switch, it won't, you get ONE network! Important to keep this in mind.
