How can I tell which M.2 hard drives will work in this device?

This device can adapt an M.2 SATA B or B+M key drive to standard SATA connections, which is not possible for a PCIe based M.2 drive. Only an M.2 SATA drive will operate with this device. PCIe-based M.2 drives are not compatible with this device.

Why is my brand-new SATA M.2 drive not showing up?

Before you can access a new or formatted drive in your operating system, you need to initialize it first and then create a partition on the drive if one is not already present. This method may vary by operating system.

How do I initialize a drive in Windows?

Press the Windows key + R, type diskmgmt.msc and press enter. Right-click the new drive & select Initialize. If on Windows 7+ or a 2TB+ drive, choose GPT, use MBR for older Windows versions. Format this new drive before use.

Utilisé pour mettre un nvme m2 Sata dans un acer V3-771G-32326G1TMaii. Fonctionne correctement et sans problème. Je précise pour ceux qui auraient des doutes : vous devez mettre un m2 sata, (par exemple : VERBATIM Vi560 S3 M.2 Sata) et non pas un m2 pcie(par exemple : WD_BLACK SN850X SSD).
