If you are a crochet beginner don’t waste money and time on aluminum hooks. Buy these!
Best crochet hooks I’ve have ever used. For the record I am not a fan of aluminum crochet hooks. My mother-in-law has grown up using aluminum crochet hooks. They are her go to! I still consider myself a beginner but I have been crocheting on and off for 3-4 years. I started with aluminum hooks. They constantly slipped while I was trying to learn and made my tension and stitches uneven. I first tried using more economical crochet hooks so I went through short aluminum with padding on the handle, long plain aluminum, cheap bamboo (which are better than aluminum) that I sanded or used hand chisels to make smoother. Then I tried some rosewood ones that have a hard resin on them and The PRYM ergonomic hooks. Even plastic hooks that were name brand did not hold up well or had a bump (where the plastic came out of a mold or an extrusion process) that yarn caught onto and broke or split the yarn. They were as consistent as the PRYM and the heavily coated rosewood hooks. PRYM crochet hooks are smooth with no processing bumps on them and longer than the rosewood ones I have! The PRYM Crochet hooks have not broken and they hold the yarn in the hook without slipping. That makes it easier for me not to miss a stitch nor have to constantly worry about my tension. Yes I still have to work on my tension and stitch making but I felt like I didn’t have the hook itself fighting against me. I love these hooks and they are cheaper than my rosewood set. So if you are starting out, go with the PRYM hooks. The only downside is if you buy the sets then you may have to take out the cardboard that gives the Letter designation and write beside the letters the millimeter for each hook. That’s what I did. I just took that little piece of cardboard out and just wrote what millimeter each hook was above where they have have letter designations. The larger set came with just a millimeters on them. The smaller set came with just the letter designations on them so that’s why I took the cardboard down and wrote the millimeters on the smaller set, but it looks like now they only sell them with the letter designation for each hook! I probably need to put the letter designation beside the millimeter of each hook onto the cardboard. If I have to ever get another set of these, especially the larger set that I purchased first, I will write the millimeters beside the letter designations. When I purchased the larger hook set hooks were listed as millimeters. Most patterns and Yarns refer to what millimeter hook you need. But some patterns may just have the letter designation on the pattern so it is best to keep the hooks in their boxes and write both designations down just in case. Hopefully this helps someone especially those who are new to crocheting and are trying to work with tension and keeping an equal stitch size. I also do not get wrist fatigue when using them! I cannot tell you how these these hooks have helped me improve and learn crochet on my own like I did through books and YouTube videos. I’m currently working on a circular potholder for my sister with bulky 100% cotton yarn! I hope this helps those like myself who needed to find the best crochet hooks for themselves!

The Best
I absolutely love these crochet hooks. They look amazing, are well made and are very comfortable to use ( I'm doing a lot of super chunky yarn crocheting and the ergonomics of the hooks make the blanket move along quickly.) The hook material itself is a very easy sliding resin/acrylic/plastic (I don't know exactly what it is made of but yarn moves easily on the hook. The handle is so comfortable ( I'm 73 and the hands aren't as flexible as they used to be) and these handles make my crocheting so much more relaxing and faster. They are well worth the $ especially with them being large hooks.

Light as Feather and easy to use.
I love these crochet hooks. As they arrived I used the L hook and began making a scarf. The hook is very light. There's no weight to it. It handles like a dream. The hooks appear to be made in one piece with a thin rubber coding for a good grip. I recommend these hooks and would buy them again. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because 1) the hook size is not in a contrasting color making it hard to see/read 2) the hooks only have the letter size they do not in include the millimeter size. To get around this I am on the hunt for a marker with white ink to mark the hooks with the millimeter size.

Love This Crochet Hook Brand!
As a long-time crocheter who has used many styles of hooks over the years, these Prym brand of ergonomic crochet hooks are the best. They are comfortable in the hand, and lightweight. The availability of this range of sizes is very useful. I like the blue/green/turquoise colors very much. The handles have a comfort grip styling which keeps my right hand from getting tired or cramped, even with many hours of working on projects. As a set they are a good value. It's helpful to have the array of sizes available, especially when working with blanket weight yarns.

Great fix for crochet hand pain
Fixed the pain in my hands from crocheting with thinner hooks. Pointed top helps to get through close stitches and the material makes sure there is no friction. Color options determine the size of the hook. I bought the small and large sets after buying a singular hook of this brand in a pinch. Love them.
