Want to easily and accurately keep track of seconds, minutes, hours, week, date, month and year information? Then the DS1307 Real-Time Clock RTC is for you! The DS1307 is a low-cost, high-precision I2C RTC with integrated crystal oscillator (TCXO) and crystal. The device includes a battery input that maintains accurate timing when the main power is turned off. The integrated crystal improves the long-term accuracy of the device and reduces the number of components in the production line.

The DS1307 Serial Real Time Clock is a low power, full BCD clock/calendar plus 56 bytes of nonvolatile SRAM. Address and data are transferred serially via a 2-wire bi-directional bus. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with less than 31 days, including corrections for leap year.
