Too Long and too Light in Weight
I had owned a replica of this hiking stick for a decade. It was lost and I assumed that my current purchase would replace my old faithful stick with all of its qualities. The trekking stick that I just received is far too long and far too light in weight. I shopped carefully on Amazon and assumed its height as described would be comfortable for my 5'2" frame. I have no idea what wood was used, but its weight leads me to believe it is bamboo ~ a hollow shaft.I have had my walking sticks hand crafted by New England artists. Beauty and functionality have never been an issue for me in the past. There is no way that I would have made my purchase had I known the issues to which I have pointed out. Living now in FL, it is not an option for me to fly to VT, NH, or Maine to find the carved hardwood stick that suits my needs.Very disappointed in this product and would never recommend its purchase to any person looking for this type of item.
