Does this Joey work on wireless internet or does it have to be hard wired?

its wireless but you also need the wireless assess point or it won't work.mine is working approximately 300ftfrom Esch other and signal is going thru 4 interior walls

Are hdmi and rca ports simultaneously active on wireless joey? can i feed one tv on each? also what can i do with the usb and ethernet ports?

Mark,, never tried doing two at once. I had my wireless joey for several months. When first setting it up. I had to have the units close, maybe 35 feet line iSight, the I got serious and moved the base unit to a washer dryer room, the tv is maybe 30 feet away. With the unit for the tv over in the poarch. Better but had to run a cat fire from the wirless unitbtomthe base unit to the hopper base unit. It may go 4 minutes before reboot the unit or it coul run 4 hours. When it runs excellant. Love dish except this time

No it is only to give you wireless connectivity to Dish Networks receiver in your house.

Does this come with the needed access point?

No, the access point or bridge is a separate piece of equipment. I alread had wireless joeys that were installed by Dish, so was able to connect one of these as an add on. The install was simple.
