Simple yet effective
After applying the decal, i waited for it to dry and then put a small surface coating. This did indeed seem to smooth out the wrinkles and allow for a more uniform appearance. Easy and effective. Somewhat semi glossy at the end, but still looks good.

Ottimo prodotto per fissare le decalcomanie per modellismo statico, penetra molto bene nelle fessure del modello.

Eats through both varnish and basecoat - useless
After painting my F16 with Vallejo's acrylic paint and covering that with two coats of polyurethane-based glossy varnish (24h of drying between each coat), I tried applying a decal with this decalfix. Unfortunately it completely dissolved not only the two layers of varnish I'd applied - but also the paint underneath it. Had to respray the stabilizer on the model, and resort to using the second set of decals included with the kit, since the first set is now incomplete. Ended up throwing the bottle in the trash as I don't feel like risking another respray after using this undercover paintstripper. It says it's water based but it smells like ammonia. Would not recommend.
