What is the Heat rating for this unit?

Heat rating-? I have no idea--but--I live in Arizona where it gets 100 easy and it is in my truck and works fine. One thing you have to remember is that it has to get charged---so-- if it is off for a long period of time----might take 30 plus minutes of driving before it works-----------you can leave it in "Hot" meaning connected to power, and it will come online fast---------------------sorry couldn't be more help!

Is there anyway I can turn the compass off?

do you have to use hud projection or can you turn that off and read off the 3.5" screen?
