The ceiling fan controller works great. This is indispensable if you have a ceiling fan/light combination. No more pulling those annoying chains. Bought this to have a second remote - I only needed the remote, but you have to buy this as a full set. Only drawback is that it is very difficult to see the buttons because they are actually indentations on the surface of the remote, so the same color as the remote. I colored them in with black magic marker and now they are visible.

This remote work wonderful! Very easy to install and very well made. Much cheaper here than any of the big box stores. Completely satisfied with this buy, good quality and ease of installation.

The first two of these remotes we have are years old and they work great. Three speed setting for than fan, and the light is dimmable through the remote. Awesome! But... the third one of these that we own, we bought and had professionally installed last September. Unfortunately, it malfunctioned after four months and only works sporadically. You can press any of the the buttons and nothing happens, but then all of a sudden it works. Oh, and if weu use it to turn the light on, the light now turns itself off after a few minutes - and won't go back on again. Then, the next day - it works again. (I strongly suspect there's a bad connection in the receiver's motherboard, that loses connectivity as the unit warms up during use and causes problems.) As the unit was out of the 90 day return period, it was warranty time. Getting warranty help was not easy... what we learned was the receiver was made by Hunter and the remote by Hampton Bay, or that's what both companies said. After a lot of "it's not our responsibility, it's theirs" back and forth we finally were given a $40 gift card to Home Depot for our trouble. Why a gift card to Home Depot? Because they own Hampton Bay; it's their in-house brand of ceiling fans. (Btw, Home Depot themselves no longer sells this remote.) So... it's hard to rate. I almost wanted to post two reveiws, one for the twogood units and one for the malfunctioning one. Bottom line, our first two are great. They'd get five stars. The third, not so much... and it's the newly purchased one, failing at only four months old. It would get one star. I averaged the three scores, which came to 3.667... so I rounded up to 4 stars as the overall rating. My recommendation: give it a shot. The bad one we recently got could be a fluke, and the two older ones have been and remain great. But (!) if it's offered, I'd suggest buying an extended warranty that covers full replacement (or the monetary equivilent), which also has the added advantage that you'd only have to deal with the one warranty provider should problems arise.

This remote is my second one that I bought from Amazon so far there both still working great, I have bought 2 remotes different brand in store but, they last only couple years. Thanks Amazon for fast delivery and this is great product I love it

I had 2 of my fans stop working so instead of buying 2 new fans, this worked beautifully for a third of the cost. Easy to replace if you're a handy person.
