I like the options this product gives. It also allows easier access to battery and SD card when camera is mounted on a tripod.

I absolutely love the UURig! It is exactly what I was after and I highly recommend this product if you have a Canon G7X Mark iii and need a mic mount!

Just about my only problem with the Powershot G7 Mark III is that there was not a slot for a mic, this bracket more than fixes that issue. It's sturdy, you can use a tripod with it AND it's designed in such a way that you can still access the battery port while it's on the camera. It more than makes up for the lack of a mic slot. Definitely get it.

Works as designed

I bought this for my G7X Mark II Canon camera. I use a mini tripod for making long videos and was always frustrated that every time my battery died I had to detach everything just to switch batteries. This attachment now allows me to leave my tripod attached (because it relocates the attachment spot) and easily switch out batteries in no time. So amazing! Yes, it does a little bit of weight to your camera when vlogging but I'm weak and it doesn't really bother me. It feels like solid steel or something very strong metal.
