Ricambio fishmann

A déconseiller

Worked great to restore the sound of my guitar!
I had a Matrix Infinity pickup installed on my guitar awhile back, love the quality of Fishman electronics. One day, I plugged in to my amp and noticed a hum that persisted unless I touched the end pin. After some online research, I learned that the thin coating on the undersaddle pickup element can be scratched or worn through, causing a failed ground. Instead of replacing the entire electronics unit, I bought this element. Installation went pretty smoothly (the element doesn't really come with instructions, but the Fishman website has manuals for download)...plugged it in, and the hum is gone!Replacement isn't difficult, you'll need a wrench or pliers to remove the jack from the endpin hole and withdraw it from the soundhole, and a couple of small screwdrivers to open the jack and swap the 2 element wires. It is important to identify which is the ground wire and which is the signal wire.

Sounds fine/Not that easy to install
This pickup replaced my existing Fishman Matriix pick-up in my Martin D-18 that after a few years all the sudden had a hum/buzz. I took a change and replaced it with the fisherman brand which solved the problem. I felt a hundreds bucks way over priced for just for the under the saddle pizzo but you pay for the fisherman brand. You can buy other brands for a fraction for the price and probably work just as well but I didn't want to take any chances on the quality. Installation was difficult but not too bad since all I had to do was remove the electronics and solder the wires. I would recommend a professional luthier if you're not experience at installations, especially if the bridge isn't already routed. Hope this helps. Tennessee Jimmy Harrell, Professional Musician
