Calming Relief Redness Relieving Facial Cream, 3.4 fl. oz.

This cream does everything it claims to do: it hydrates deeply, noticeably reduces redness, calms an irritated or compromised skin barrier, and layers well with most of the skincare products in my routine. I've also never broken out because of it. The one caveat is the texture. It is quite thick and dense, so it needs time to settle properly. I recommend waiting about 5–10 minutes after applying toner, vitamin C, and eye cream to let everything absorb before putting this on top. Then, if you are using it in the morning, give it another 5–10 minutes before applying SPF. Personally, I do not have that kind of time, so I use it as my evening moisturizer instead, usually as the final step over my retinol. It works like a dream. I wake up with calm, hydrated, comfortable skin and a healthy glow, without the irritation or tightness that can sometimes come with retinoid use. And if you have read this far, you are probably into skincare. If so, you may already know the miracle that is Augustinus Bader’s Rich Cream. I am not calling this a dupe, but on my skin, it gives me a very similar result: nourished, soothed, bouncy-looking skin with that same beautiful, lit-from-within glow I get whenever I use the Rich Cream. Do with that what you will.

As I’ve become older, I have been wanting to find ways to make my skincare routine easier. I used to love a 10 step routine but now I’m kind of like, let’s make it 3! That being said, my barrier was suffering and I was starting to think nothing would help. I saw this product first on TikTok and was worried about falling for another viral product that would ultimately not work. I’m glad I gave it a chance because I have consistently (it’s the key!!!) been using it for almost a month now and wow, what a change! A few things if you are like me and have combo, more oily skin with redness from past acne scarring. 1. This didn’t really have a HUGE impact on my redness however I didn’t have high expectations that it would only because my redness is not really from just dry skin. It’s ok because it did calm my skin a little which is nice! 2. A little bit goes a long way and keep in mind that this is a bit of a thicker lotion. I always use it at night but sometimes it can feel a little heavy during the day so I’ll use a gel based moisturizer instead. But it does lay really beautifully under makeup. Even when it was at the end of the day and I get more oily, my skin still looked glowy but nice! 3. Like I mentioned, it’s a thicker formula and it doesn’t really dry down on the skin (at least for me!) sort of that tacky feel so if you don’t love that feeling, it may not be for you! All in all, my skin really feels like it’s healing. And I believe that it’s helping my couple other products I use work more effectively as well! I will definitely be repurchasing this product and am tempted to check out other products from this line!

I have bought this 4 times now- I always seem to go back to it. I use this mostly at night but also sometimes in the morning if my skin is extra dry (I use tretinoin). It is VERY dewy- idk if I notice any difference with redness but it definitely helps repair my skin barrier when my skin is extra sensitive, irritated, and red- just not an immediate difference in redness. I have very sensitive acne prone skin and do not notice any breakouts from this product. I would not use this under makeup- I have tried and since there’s oil in this product it will not sit well under makeup fyi (maybe if you use a small amount and wait a long time before applying it would be ok)

I have used this lotion for 4 days and I can admit it did make a difference after the first use when I put it on at night and woke up to put lotion on my face in the morning it wasn’t as red as normal so I used it again. Results are not major for the redness but it doesn’t stink and it leaves my skin softer than other lotions so give it a try, it might work for you. Even alittle less redness is better than nothing.

Great moisture, but does not decrease my redness from rosacea

I didn’t like this cream at first, but now I really appreciate it while using a retinoid because it’s a really nice thick cream to wear to bed and not to sticky. It’s truly fragrance free and safe for highly reactive, itchy, eczematic skin.

Love this for when my rosacea flares…which can happen at anytime during this season of life. Hormones wreaking havoc at 52! Helps control redness and environmental sensitivities. Doesn’t clog pores. Recommend the partners serum as well!

I love all of physiogel products! This one is a basic cream that doesn’t irritate your skin when it’s being extra reactive. It also has ceramide to help repair the skin as well.

Really helps to get rid of redness on my face

Tengo piel sensible y rosácea. Compré este producto porque lo recomendaban mucho para bajar rojeces y estoy sorprendida con lo efectiva que es. Es súper hidratante sin dejarme la piel grasa y eliminó todas las rojeces y la sensación de irritación desde el primer uso. Antes usaba las de la roche, sin nada de éxito. Voy a pedir otro de una vez porque si funciona muy bien.
