These hinges work very well. Just follow the installation instructions to the T, and enjoy your custom hidden door. Mine is full of liquor bottles and the door swings like a dream every time, as they say.

This hinge system works great and it allowed us to place the pivot point behind the wall.

The hinges come with no instructions. I contacted the manufacturer to get the measurements for the positioning. However they don’t want to give any information at all. After searching for a long time I found a YouTube video where the guy gave the measurements. Once I had the measurements it was very easy to fit the hinges. I built a bookcase door and is working fine. Very happy with the results and hinges. Not happy with the manufacturer for not giving any information.

Have tried different style hinges for a Murphy type door. These work the best by far. Recommend these if you need this style hinge.

Hinges are quality! Sturdy and smooth. I just wish they came with instructions/templates. There are some available online, but they seem to be geared to the installation of their bookcase kit - not for the DYI’er or a custom job. Regardless, I did get them installed and working well. Best advice I can leave - measure, measure, measure, BEFORE drilling and screwing. And invest in a 4 way laser level if you can.

The directions are terrible, but the hardware fits both an aesthetic and a mechanical need. I am building a door for a storage area in my daughter's family room. She wanted a swing-out door she could put DVD's and video games on for storage that would also give access to a storage room on the other side. This "secret door" bookcase will operate just fine with this hardware. Plus, I get to keep my Superdad cape!

I recently installed this "genuine Murphy Door hidden hinge kit at a customer" request. At $150, I expected a premium product, but it fell short in a few key areas. First concern: The stop lock is a cheaply made, 3D-printed plastic piece. It looks like it came off a home hobby printer, definitely not what you'd expect in a high-end hardware kit. At this price point, every component should reflect solid manufacturing quality. Second concern: Instead of a printed template for hinge placement, the kit includes a QR code to download one. The idea might seem modern, but in practice it's unreliable as printer settings vary, and the result can be misaligned or out of scale. A printed, to-scale template should be a given for this kind of money. Overall, the kit doesn't live up to its premium price tag. There are more affordable hinge kits out there that match this one in quality and functionality, some costing half as much or even less. Don't be swayed by the "genuine" and "patented" labels. They don’t guarantee better value.

Works good. We don’t use the door much but it is good. Easy to install and durable. I would say they look good but you can’t see them! I enjoy having a secret door that people don’t know it there.
