How thick is the padding?

The total thickness of the padded top is about 3.25 inches. However, note that this includes the thickness of the upholstery (maybe 0.25 inch ?) and the thickness of the rigid base at the bottom of this sandwich that I imagine must be at least 0.5 inch (my guesstimate). Padding maybe 2.5 inches ?

Besides massages what other in home use would someone use this table for?

Love mine which I got after knee replacement. Since had another knee and a hip and continue to use to keep up the flex and maintain. It folds easily and goes under a bed when I have guests. I recommend it if PT at home is needed. Sturdy and perfect size and height. I am a senior senior and can handle it.

Plz suggest a product/technique for hiding or limiting a small 1" tear in the vinyl so it won't grow. 3M Leather & Vinyl Kit has poor reviews.

if you are a professional massage therapist throw the table out and buy a new one. tears in the fabric are an infection control issue. the low price of the table is well worth your professional reputation. if the table is used only for your personal use than duct tape or a patch kit will work.
