OtterBox Defender Case for Apple iPod Touch 5th Generation - Coal

Ho acquistato questa custodia per l'IPOD Touch 5G di mio figlio. La custodia è veramente ben fatta, robusta e indistruttibile. Ottima per i ragazzi che usano l'ipod tutti i giorni e (vedi il mio) spesso li cade in terra... Spedizione velocissima, arrivato in anticipo rispetto alla data di consegna.

Pros: Have had the case for 2 years and it's still working great! Love it! Fits well. Very protective. No bumps or scratches to the ipod. Looks good. All the holes cut for the headphones, charging port, speaker and camera are great. The bevel for the camera and screen are protective. Great for heavy duty use. Has a loop if you want to use it though we chose not to. Cons: The buttons are a little difficult to push. The built-in screen protector made it hard to touch the edges of the screen (but we were able to easily to remove the screen protector that came with the case and installed another screen protector made specifically for the to be applied directly to the ipod screen which worked well.

Within 2 weeks the screen on my son's iPod is all smashed. I thought this was supposed to prevent that. At home he wears the wrist strap so as no to drop it. Great idea. He was at a friends house and it supposedly dropped from the sofa to the carpeted floor. When he went to use it, the screen shattered in his hand. If I saw this with my own eyes, I would give it a 1 star based on this. I paid way more for this than a competing product so I wanted something bomb proof. I have since replaced the screen so we will see if we have better luck. On a positive note, at first my son thought the it might be too bulky and would not like it, but instead he likes it because others think it is a iPhone. Once replacing screen, everything survived. It is now about 5 months later and the iPod has not had any problems. The otterbox will need to be replace though. My son has a reputation for being rough on things so a normal person probably would be happy with it. My son's otterbox is starting to fall apart so I will need another one. Update December 2015. The case basically fell apart so I contacted customer support and they replaced it without any problems. Back to 5 stars.

Although I love my iPod Touch, I am not much of a fan of the super thin trend as I find it hard to hold onto the thinner phones (and this Touch). After dropping the Touch half a dozen times, I thought that a case would be a good way to both protect the Touch and make it easier to hold. Since I like the Otterbox on my Note 5 so much, I thought I'd try it for the Touch. This is another great product. On the plus side, the dual case system is really, really solid, with great fit and finish, and superb attention to detail. All of the cutouts are positioned exactly right, the buttons are just a tiny bit harder to push (which is a plus as it prevents accidental presses). I also liked the screen protector built into the inner half of the case system. It provides decent protection from scratches, and still provides good touch and feel with the screen. Most importantly for me, this makes the iPod much easier to hold, with a nice, slightly rubbery feel. I haven't dropped the iPod once wince I got it, but I know it will provide great protection if I do drop it again. The only real negative I can find with the case is that it seems to allow a bit more dust between the screen protector and the Touch screen, although it isn't horrible.. I'd buy Otterbox for any device I own, and on balance, I think this was the perfect case for my iPod Touch.

I bought this case after i dropped my previous iPod and smashed the screen. I did some research and decided to go for the OtterBox as the reviews were positive. The case itself is well made, sturdy and fairly easy to fit. It also comes with a screen protector which is actually pretty responsive compared to others I've used. The iPod charging port is well protected with its own little flap. Bluetooth isn't impacted in anyway when the case is fitted so connection to headphones or speakers is good. The case is robust but with a very slight element of give, almost sponge like which is both tactile in the hand, easy to grip and adds to the protection should you drop it. A really good case and pleased I bought it.
