The original battery that came with my vacuum kept dying in me shortly after using Dyson said what I was getting out of it each use was about right. 10 minute use I don’t think so. I was getting ready to buy I new vacuum when I saw this replacement and decided to give it a try. Glad I did and it works so much better than the original and battery last longer as well. It was super easy to install.

Had my $700 Dyson more than 5 years and the OEM battery went kaput. (Friendly tip to Dyson users -- you are evidently not supposed to recharge the battery right away after it gets very low... You need to let it cool off for 30 minutes or else it will hold significantly less charge!) Found this replacement battery after reading a bunch of Amazon reviews. Everything worked as advertised for the handful of times I used it in the first 6 months -- I was very impressed by the amount of time I could vacuum for with one charge...particularly on the Max setting! Then this week I *thought* I experienced a problem (but I did NOT -- please read on!) so I contacted the manufacturer/seller about their warranty. The good news is that they immediately wrote back saying that they would send me a new battery. But the even BETTER news is that I then discovered that I did not even need a replacement...because I subsequently realized my issue was due to "user error!" PSA IN CASE YOUR VACUUM IS "STUTTERING" AND WILL NOT VACUUM!... Since I had not experienced this symptom in all my 5+ years with my Dyson, I assumed my vacuum was not vacuuming because the battery was dead. All signs pointed to that, because it had one minute been working perfectly fine and then it started that struggling/stuttering symptom after only 5 minutes of use... I tried recharging the battery and even removing the battery to "reset" it, but nothing helped... But when I later emptied the vacuum's debris chamber...that magically did the trick! So I suppose that my vacuum now worked "too well?" -- After only 5 minutes of use it had sucked up so much detritus that it had somehow clogged an internal mechanism, which was apparently causing the sputtering symptom. The vacuum (and battery!) now work perfectly fine. Naturally, I cancelled my warranty exchange with the seller/manufacturer. But I felt it would be important for potential buyers of this product to note that this is a seller who no questions asked was going to stand by their product and honor their warranty without any hassle whatsoever... So that should give you additional peace of mind if buying this battery!

I thought my dyson was done for, and was devastated. It IS about 8-9 years old, but still works great and especially with a bad back, it makes vacuuming easy. Will definitely buy a new one when need be, but was pleased all I needed to buy was this new battery, and can get another couple of years out of it. Easy to install, and has been working great for over six months now.

I have to admit, It was not the batteries fault. I returned the battery and it's replacement before I dug deeper and found the problem. There are two filters on the Dyson that needs to be cleaned or replaced, I have done this several several times over the months I have had the vacuum. Once the original battery started lasting only a few minutes after about a year, I replaced it. That battery only lasted a few months before it would only last a few minutes. This battery I just purchased ran a few weeks then the vacuum started pulsating, on,off,on,off. So I returned the battery for replacement, the new battery did the same thing, so I returned it for a refund. There is a third permanent filter that needs to be cleaned. Even though I replaced the other filters this one needs cleaning also. I take my air compressor hose out into the yard and blow the dust out of it. Something you shouldn't do inside the house. Vacuum works fine.

I needed a new battery and this replacement fit my vacuum perfectly. It was easy to install and I only had to remove and replace two screws. It is a durable battery, the quality is outstanding, and the longevity makes my vacuum run like new. It is a great battery replacement for your Dyson.

Purchased battery in late December 2024. It is a replacement for a Dyson vac. battery. The original worked for app. 5 years before needing the be replaced. The replacement from Amazon worked fine for app. 7 months. The vac. is used 1 maybe 2 times a week to vac. a living room and 2 bed rooms. Today it lasted long enough to vac. most of the living room before it stopped working, nothing in the bedrooms. The battery had been on the charger for 5 days before using it today. Had to finish the job with my old Shark corded model that works great.

Saved the Dyson from the trash.

Dayson battery

The original Dyson vacuum cleaner battery started to die quickly after around 4 years utilization and then stopped working completely and not charging. I fixed in this new battery and it started working again.

Amazing replacement, just work and so worth it, its like having a brand new vacuum again!

Battery working fine and computable with the original. The battery get hot with continues use. I think many I have to leave it sometime to cool down.
