In the last several years, this is my third USB hub. So far, has been the best of the three. Solid aluminum construction body. High speed transfer. Highly recommend.

it actually worked. all 7 slots, with all usb dongles.no overheating, no shorting out, no working with half the dongles but not the other half, and not having half its slots dead.it only took 5 purchases to get a brand new unit that had never been opened and actually worked.utter ridiculousness.Thank you RSHTECH for selling what you were advertising. Thank you RSHTECH's manufacturer for making the thing you agreed to make. Thank you Amazon for actually shipping me a new unopened unit.gods willing, this hub lasts at least another 8 years like the last one and i don't have to go through this hell again any time soon.The things I can explicitly say in favor of this unit is 1) the plug is not a universal adapter that you choose which plug type you need and then install it. 2) the power brick, cable, and housing are very solid, this doesn't feel overly heavy, but it doesn't feel like its made out of aerogel either. 3) I specifically avoided a 12V unit in favor of a 5V like my old one had been.Con: LED blue lights... just stop with the blue LED lights everywhere, please. Promptly put black and tan LightDIMs stickers over all the LED lights so that the emitted light is green and barely visible with a 90% reduction in illumination. It still illuminates out of its usb ports, but nothing I can do about that.

Pros:- Switching off unused devices speeds boot-up & saves RAM.- Continues charging your device after the PC shuts down.- Saves wear and tear on your PC portsCons:- Charges better than my PC alone, but don’t expect “quick charging”.- About those dead ports, it might not be the hub. I’m not sure about IOS, but Windows can be finicky with USB hubs. Some of my RSHTECH ports went dead, so instead of digging into device manager, BIOS or the registry, try this:1. Shut down your PC2. Unplug the RSHTECH power3. Unplug the RSHTECH USB from your PC4. Plug in a new device (like a thumb drive) into that same port5. Reboot and make sure the new device is working properly6. Shut down the PC7. Unplug the new device and re-insert the RSHTECH plug into the same port8. Reconnect power to the RSHTECH9. Boot up your PCIf you’re lucky, Windows will recognize the hub as a new device and reset everything.

good product but I wish the cords for the power and the usb connection cable were a little longer, they seem a little short.
