bad idea.
Had ankle surgery and needed to be in a fracture boot for 12 weeks! The liner of my original boot began to show real wear and tear (and smell). I washed the liner...bad idea...the velcro never returned to normal. not strong enough. Found this boot on Amazon (THANKS AMAZON),it is the same brand that they sent be home from the hospital in, except it did not have the air pump...also the one from the hospital was $30+ more than this one with the air chamber. I decided to try this one and I am glad I did. The boot is comfortable and the air chamber can be pumped up for a more secure, compression like feeling...my ankle liked that, or you can release the air for more room...it works really well!. There is nothing about having to wear these boots that is fun...comfort and ease of putting on and off is essential. This boot is super comfy and easy to wear. Heading to NYC in 2 weeks...will be 100% weight bearing...will report back and let you know how it holds up!

Did not last - liner started tearing within 2 weeks from Velcro pulling when walking
This is the same brand and style I was given by my orthopedic surgeon - except that the one I wore home from the hospital lasted 2 months before showing signs of wear, to the point where the liner just disintegrated where the two side braces Velcro moves back and forth when I am walking. (Small area of travel at the top). Initially I ordered one, then another replacement for $90-ish each from amazon, but same thing happened. Then I found out I could order replacement liners from my orthodontist for only $40, and I’ve gone through 4 of those so far. (2 surgeries and a non-union that just won’t heal in last 14 months). I’ve ‘stretched’ the mileage over the last few months by using an old liner that I cut up to repair the ones that have gotten destroyed by the Velcro, but I’m at the point where I need to order again and I think I’m going to have to try another brand. I am 6’3” and I suspect I’m having issues because of the level effect but I just can’t keep buying boots and liners out of pocket like this.

It is excellent! Great fit
Finally! The right boot! It is excellent! Great fit. Relatively easy to walk on. Incredibly comfortable. This is my third attempt to find the right boot. So glad I decided to try this one. It is perfection personified!!!! ...and now I can heal properly! Let the healing begin...

You don't receive the same boot they picture!
Works well enough, but not as well as the one they have pictured in the main page. The boot pictured is not the boot that I received. I ordered this one because it was exactly like one that I have but a size larger. The boot that was delivered is not the same boot pictured. The one they sent works OK, but not as well designed or made as the one pictured. Since I need it now I cant send it back and wait for another one, but very disappointed in the deceptive advertising. First pic is what they advertise, second picture is what I actually received. Since I also have the same boot pictured in the first, I can tell you that there is a significant difference in quality between the two.

Wasn’t for me
Footbed was way too large so was tripping me, even though I ordered correct size. The rubber sole was higher than the air cast brand which made my hips even more uneven. I did try 3 different shoe levelers to make it even but none were good quality. I ordered a pair of Hoka shoes to have height on my other foot. Plus the back of leg didn’t have protective plastic cover. It was just the cloth liner and since I broke the back of my ankle, that made me uncomfortable. Finally, the buttons to pump up the pressure are located on the front of the boot which does not work with a knee scooter.

Good Stuff
Broke a foot during a car accident, my dr prescribed this but they wanted to bill me $300 in the hospital; took my phone out, opened Amazon and asked him to type what he sells, I saved $250 and I’m getting better with it, I also sleep with it in hopes of quicker recover. The velcro strips are a bit confusing, and if you live alone and you have to drive in order to live, getting in and out of the booth during stops can be annoying.

Good product
The boot is overall nice. What is vaguely shown in the picture or description is that the entire back part of the boot is missing. There is no back shell to the boot and your leg itself is strapped in and held together by the side shells and the 360 straps. Not necessarily a bad thing as I am sure this provides the user with more mobility. Additionally, it allows people with various sizes of calves to use this product. It would have been nice, however, to know that there was no back to this boot. Still glad I purchased it.
