Great tool and easy to use.
This is such an easy tool to use. Powder coating is so easy and always ends up great. No runs in paint and the finish is rock hard. Just get an old kitchen oven and you’re good to go with small parts. I’ve done 15” wheels with mine.

Skip the Harbor Freight set up, this is way better
Huge upgrade from the Harbor Freight option for not much more money. Great for home use.

Good hobby powder coating gun, but don't expect professional-level charging
I purchased this as a second powder coating gun for smaller jobs and quick color changes, and overall I've been pleased with its performance. The gun produces a nice, even powder spray that's easy to control, making it suitable for smaller parts and detail work. The adjustable voltage settings are useful, and I found both operating ranges to be functional depending on the part being coated.Where it falls short is electrostatic charging. The powder does charge well enough to coat parts successfully, but the transfer efficiency isn't on the same level as professional powder coating equipment. I noticed more overspray and wasted powder because the electrostatic attraction isn't as strong as higher-end systems.Compared to the Harbor Freight powder coating gun, I would consider this an improvement. However, it's still a noticeable step below professional units when it comes to charging performance and powder transfer. For hobbyists and occasional powder coating, I think it's a solid option. If you're coating parts every day or trying to maximize transfer efficiency, you'll probably still want a commercial-grade system.Pros:Smooth, controllable powder sprayEasy to useDual voltage settings are usefulBetter performance than entry-level hobby gunsGood for small jobs and color changesCons:Electrostatic charge is weaker than professional equipmentMore overspray and powder waste than higher-end gunsBottom line:A capable hobby-level powder coating system that performs well and is easy to control. It offers better performance than basic entry-level units, but it doesn't quite match the transfer efficiency and charging power of professional powder coating equipment.

Performs good
Works great

It's OK.
Works well enough for a newbie. Annoying how many cables hanging everywhere. You get what you get for the price. It's a hundred dollar gun. Not a 5K gun.

Am a beginner and this worked great!
Super easy to set up and use. I didnt have any issues with spraying my parts. Probably have done ~30 various brackets and hinges. Using just the ground from the receptacle, did not have any issue with creating a good charge and getting adhesion. I actually liked it better without the tip on the end. I connected a water filter and lower pressure, pressure regulator and didn't have any issues with an even, smooth coat - that has a lot to do with the oven situation too, but as far as I could tell, the gun worked great. Like the clear bottle for seeing how full it is. Lots of youtube videos to watch on how to use and improvement modifications. I have been very satisfied. Oh, and the handheld grounding button is far far better than some of the other inexpensive ones with the foot controlled buttons.
