Product Description Moving On is the sophmore release for the Muscle Shoals based group, Lauderdale. Review I read about these guys over at Nine Bullets, Common Folk Music and No Deal Music all fine blogs whose recommendations I always take heed of , so when I spotted their album on a recent trip to Reviewshine I jumped the cursor straight over to the download button to get a copy, having already had a taster of the band through the tracks and videos posted elsewhere I already knew this was music that was right up Beat Surrender' street, but still I was surprised at the quality of the album as a whole, rock solid start to end the albums as good an alt-country release as you'll hear this year, the perfect amalgam of rock, country and Muscle Shoals magic topped of by having a perfect vocal outlet in Niles Lee, I'm sure this albums going to feature in a few end of year best of 2011 lists and is definitely one to seek out - buy / download at iTunes and CD Baby -- Beat-Surrender.com, music blog, October 14, 2011Before we go any further and start moving into "too long; didn't read" territory, I wanna say this: If you're a Lucero fan, you're a Lauderdale fan. No, their sound isn't that similar, but their "feel" and the overall level of "awesome" is. I kind of feel like I just need to say Moving On is Essential Listening and, as the title suggests, move on. I mean, what more needs to be said that the three mp3's under here won't say for themselves? Truth be told...nothing but sometimes I get so focused on providing a band some quotable line for their website or one-sheet that I ramble. This is yet another sign that occasionally I forget that ninebullets is ultimately a music fan's website written for music fans. With that said, Lauderdale is a band out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. They've been a band since 2005. Their current album is available on thisisamericanmusic.com. If this album is any indication of what's to come these guys will be a ninebullets.net fixture from years to come as Moving On is one of the best albums to be released this year (though I understand it was recorded a few years ago) and I'm all too happy to dub it Essential Listening. -- NineBullets.net, music blog, September 1, 2011 See all Editorial Reviews

Beautiful
The first time I heard the title track, "Moving On," my heart sank into my stomach and I fell in love. I am a huge Lucero fan and read that these guys have the same feel . The singer, Niles Lee, has the voice of a raspy, heartbroken angel. Really good stuff, I hope I get to see them live soon!
