I purchased these plus a 100 foot strand for my patio to replace some cheap knock offs that were really christmas lights with plastic bulbs that snapped over them. SPEND THE MONEY AND BUY THESE because the cheap fake ones fill with water and mold and break. I had my fingers crossed after reading that some people had broken bulbs upon opening package and that they were really fragile but none were broken, they all worked, and they don't seem any more fragile than any other light bulb. We hung the string and when we got it just right we placed the bulbs and they look great! The 100 foot strand doesn't have a female end to add another strand but the 25 ft. does. The recommendation said not to connect more than 136 bulbs. In summary, GREAT BUY & GREAT PRICE!!!

These are beautiful. Just be aware that the glass is quite fragile.
