How do you know it's working? I'll tell you how. UPDATED BELOW.
Seriously. How can you tell that a supplement is actually working for your pooch? Two words: Vet visits. I do whatever it takes for my little buddy. He means the world to me so if he's not feeling well, mama will fix it. About 2 years ago I noticed he had an abnormal discharge from his weenie. Off to the vet's office. Blood tests, urine tests, $$$ blah blah blah and we're sent home with a bottle of antibiotics. After about 2 weeks his infection was gone. Or was it? About a month later it was back. Another vet visit, more tests, more $$$ and another bottle of antibiotics. This routine goes on for over a year. The money was racking up and my Lil guy is still not completely right. So I stumbled upon this and i figure it sounds good, let's give it a try. Once you open the tin it smells wonderful and why wouldn't it? All the best seasonings, herbs and other natural goodies. It smells good enough to sprinkle on your pot roast and I'm not kidding! He likes the taste, I like the aroma but does it actually work? Yes! I haven't been back to the vet in over 8 months. No weenie issues whatsoever. None! Coincidence? I don't think so. I really don't. If the infection returns I'll be sure to update this post, but until then I'll continue to order this formula as long as they're selling it. UPDATE: 9-5-2016 They have since changed their formula and omitted the first ingredient of their formula: Bee pollen. I did a little research on bee pollen and found it's considered by many as a superfood. So why delete it? I wasnt sure so I emailed and received an immediate response that Dr Harvey himself would like to call me at my convenience to explain the reasoning behind their business decision to delete bee pollen from their formula. I was told that some states dont allow bee pollen in supplements and a few animals were experiencing allergies Dr. Harvey felt were brought on by the bee pollen so they dropped it. I can understand the decision to eliminate it and I appreciate they took the time to explain it to me. I continue to buy this formula. What was once a monthly vet visit for a recurring infection has completely disappeared. Ive since switched to a holistic vet who has heard of and recommended Dr. Harvey supplements. Thats really all I needed to hear. Id add another star if I could.

AMAZING!!!!
This product is AMAZING. We have a 5 month old pitbull/vizla mix, he was diagnosed with demodex when he was 8 weeks old, for 2 months we were in the Vet weekly. He was doing mitaban dips with no results it made him completely lethargic for 24 hours after, we also tried Ivermectrim which he was growing so fast the dosage couldnt keep up. He lost all the hair on his head and back, had tons of welts from scratching on his stomach and legs. Finally after tons and tons of research and frustration I came across Dr. Harveys E-Mune Boost, after the first dose alone he was full of energy and life like a normal puppy! We immediately stopped the mitaban dips and within 2 weeks his hair had grown back. He went back last week to the vet and tested negative from demodex. Even the vet was shocked and could not believe his transformation, she asked for the product information. We are cotninuing to give it to him because he loves it and it helps his all around health and appearance. We give him a scoop at night and in the morning mixed with a tablespoon of coconut oil either by itself or we pour it over his food. The first picture is at 10 weeks the second is at 14 weeks, the third is two weeks after starting Dr. Harveys (18 weeks) and the final is 19 weeks.

Hard to tell if helps, but my dog is doing better overall
I purchased this supplement, the Immunity supplement by the same company and Dr. Harvey's Emune-Boost Herbal Supplement for Dogs and began to administer them to my husky that has a skin auto-immune disease requiring prednisone to control. The prednisone was not working as well and I wanted to see if any of these supplements could help so I wouldn't have to increase the dose of steriods to keep his skin from crusting. I give a dose of either the Skin-Coat or the Immunity with Dr. Harvey's every morning along with powdered zinc, and prednisone. It has been about a month and I do believe I am seeing a difference, although it is hard to say if it is the supplements, a seasonal change or a biological change in my dogs. Nevertheless, I am happy to see his skin healing and that I have been able to reduce his prednisone dose slightly. As other reviewers have stated, my dog does not mind the taste.

Got rid of my chihuahua's wart in 7 days
Let me just say...whoa!!! My baby chihuahua developed a wart on her lip as big as her canine tooth after her shots, and my vet said we just needed to leave it alone because it was entirely normal, she wasn't in pain, and that it would gradually go away over a period of several weeks. Seeking a miracle cure, I searched on Amazon and found this somewhat sketchy item...and gave it a try because some reviewers here said it helped their dogs w/ warts. I have given a scoop w/ her breakfast for exactly 7 days and, this afternoon, her wart just fell off. No bleeding or anything, and it doesn't look like she even noticed it. Wow, this REALLY worked. Another reviewer said it took a couple of weeks, and my vet DID tell me to be patient because it would take several weeks. So I can't believe it fell off in just 7 days. Seven days. I am very happy w/ this product. == Update on Aug 27, 2017: I just wanted to update my review to talk about an unanticipated benefit. I have two small dogs: a baby chihuahua and a 12-yr-old Min Pin. We were initially mixing this product into my chihuahua's food (for the reason stated above in my earlier review), and I started to give it to my Min Pin, as well, because he apparently liked how it smelled and he seemed jealous. So, he's been taking a scoop of this product daily for less than two weeks--and I just noticed that the fat deposit on his upper eyelid (about 1/10 of an inch) is pretty much gone! He's had it for about a year, and our vet told us that it was benign and that we should leave it alone unless it gets too big--because it was a common condition for older dogs and surgically removing it would potentially involve far more harm than leaving it untreated. I don't even pretend to know the physiology underlying this, but, after less than two weeks of taking this product, his fat deposit has shrunk to the point you won't even see it unless you look very closely. This may be a happy coincidence, of course, but we aren't doing anything differently, so I tend to attribute the improvement to this product.

Wonder supplement! Cleared up puppy warts!
Our 14-month old Irish Setter unfortunately contracted kennel cough, most likely from a visit to the dog park, and also began to develop warts in his mouth. His cough cleared within a few days with a cough suppressant from the vet, but what started with one small bump on his lip eventually turned into 30-40 warts throughout the inside of his mouth and down into his throat. After about a month of trying to treat the externally visible warts with castor oil, we started mixing Dr. Harvey's Emune-Boost in his food with a splash of water twice a day. We did this religiously for a couple of weeks and were slightly discouraged when it seemed like nothing was changing, but in the third week, all of his warts completely cleared! We had read that it could potentially take 5+ months for his immune system to fight the warts off on its own, but hoped that wouldn't be the case for our dog, and we have to credit Dr. Harvey's Emune-Boost with how incredibly fast the warts cleared. We have since continued mixing the supplement with his food daily and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

Dog E-mune Boost
Our dog had picked up warts from a dog day-care center. She was not allowed back at center until warts were gone. She started out with one wart and after one month we started seeing smaller ones forming. Vet's recommend time for warts to disappear. On-line recommendations were to improve dogs immune system and others recommended vitamin C and 500 mg of L-Lysine each day. We started giving her the L-Lysine and pieces of fruit high in vitamin C. I saw Dr Havey's E-mune boost on Amazon and thought we would add that to her diet. When we first saw the powder, like others have commented, I was not sure how we would use it. The first time I added it to our dogs food she would not eat it. We sprinkled it onto the top in powder form. Our dog already eats a 5 star dog food that was suppose to improve a dogs immune system. I tried the powder again adding a small amount of hot water to make a paste like coating on the kibbles. Our dog seems to have grown to like the coated kibble. For her morning feeding I add Dr Harvey,s immune boost powder and she seems to have grown to like it. My wife feed the dog the other morning and did not add the powder. She did not eat. I added the powder and she went to her bowl and emptied it. Main, objective of adding the fruit, L-Lysine and Dr Harveys powder to her diet was to eliminate the warts. After about a month on this diet, the large wart is gone and the smaller ones are disappearing. We see one tiny wart left. Not sure if her new diet caused the warts to go away or it was time. Only after one month we saw more coming and after the second month with a change in her diet they went away. It appears the combination of changes to improve her immune system may have worked. We will continue to use Dr Harvey E-mune boost in the morning, L-Lysine in the evening and fruit treats during the day for a while. A negative about Dr Harvey's powder is there is no imformation on what is in it, so I add less than a teaspoon to 1 cup in her morning meal.

Good Product
Without knowing how this product works (or doesn't work) to increase a dog's immunity, I like having it around as insurance for my pups health. I purchased the immunity boost because my 1 year old pup broke out with three warts on his mouth (after having one removed from his eye lid). I read there is no prescription for dog warts other than boosting their immunity- as I am not a vet, I obviously dont know how to do this. I figured, the product couldn't hurt, and with such great reviews, I would give it a shot. Well not three weeks later, the pups warts began to shrink until they were completely gone (no longer than a month). I read it takes 1-5 months for dog warts to dissipate, so who knows if the immunity boost really did the trick or not. I like to think this product helped; however, and if nothing else the pup's poop looks good and he seems to really enjoy the flavor! -Amber

It should not be taken for a long term basis
It should only be used as medicine for some treatments and for short term uses only. because many herbs and roots should not be eaten for a long term basis. In Chinese medicince theory, herbs and many roots can only be used as medicine. Like Ginger and Gingsen, they are roots and have their healing properties, but should not be eaten daily, but only once awhile or for short term treatment. One week after taking this supplement daily, my 13 year old dog was found losing her hearing ability. I did not know why and I continued to feed her this supplement daily. After 3 months, I further fed her the dog food from the Honest Kitchen that came with some herbs. She also took some oral liquid supplement that was made with herbs. After 6 months my dog developed an illness called the Vestibular disorder. My dog fell many times a day, and even fell from my bed and chair. I ordered a supplement which claims to heal the Vestibular Disease, but it didn't work, so I stopped it. Vestibular disorder is mostly found in older dogs and is said incurable. The patient-dog lose their hearing ability and also lose their body balance and fall many times a day for the rest of their lives. The western medicine is still unable to find the cause. My dog had all the symptoms of Vestibular disease. Eventually, I searched the internet to try to find helps through Chinese medicne theory. Based on the Chinese medicine, it is becasue of the liver being overloaded with heat or toxin. I came to realize that, the herbs that my dog was fed daily had built up heat and toxin in her liver. I immediately stopped all the food and supplments that come with herbs, and no more dry dog food which also creates heat. I cooked food for my dog based on the Chinese medicine theory. After 6 month's complete deaf, my dog was able (and still is able ) to restore her hearing 50% - 60% after 2 months into the food diet, and she no longer falls, but her tongue is still red and fat, the symptom of still having too much heat and toxin in the liver, based on the Chinese Medicine theory. I have ordered some Food Diet books written based on the Chinese Medicine theory, so that I can cook the right food for myself and my dogs according to our respective body conditions.
