Cannot explain our dog's health improvements in any other way except to say that it has been the addition of this product that has significantly made him better. Our small dog has cancer and since he is old, we decided not to go with surgery or other measures. He has been steadily going downhill for weeks to the point that we have considered putting him to sleep many times. We added this supplement a few days ago because we read it helps to shrink cancer tumors. Last night and this morning our dog was up, eating on his own for the first time in 2 months (we have been feeding him food in a syringe.) He was walking around and wagging his tail. I knew something was different yesterday as he did not sleep all day, but instead was raising his head watching me walk around the kitchen for most of the day. All I can say is WHOA!!! He is definitely a different dog. The tumor he had on his side that felt like a golf ball is now softer/mushy and getting smaller. Two days prior to giving him this powder supplement, we tried grinding a pycnogenol pill and giving that to him but it clumped and stuck to the spoon (couldn't push the clump through his syringe of food very easy either.) We began giving him this on Tuesday 1/16th to 1/4th teaspoon 1 or 2 times a day) and today is Friday. Today (and last night) he was up begging for food like his old self. I will receive a free product for writing this review, however, I have been offered a free product for purchasing another product from this company in the past. I did not submit a review for that product because I have not used that product yet and I did not want to submit a review that wasn't based in fact. I will update this review in a month or so to let you know about our dog's health in case his improvement is just a fluke...praying his health continues to improve. UPDATE 5/17/15 Our dog has made a tremendous improvement in his health. He is no longer sleeping/dying 23.5 hours a day but instead acts alive again! His back legs had all but stopped supporting his weight and had to be carried over the door threshold, nut now he bounces up and down the deck stairs easily on his own. He is eating normal food again. He did start having runny bowel movements so we lowered his dose to 1/64th a teaspoon and that resolved and we still give it to him wrapped in meat every day. His bump on his side is gone. The cataract in his eye is looking better/going away. God's medicine is amazing!

I used to take this substance in pill form but much prefer the powder. The taste is not really strong and this powder easily dissolves in liquids (be careful with carbonated fluids, it will cause these to foam quite drastically). I use it in smoothies and don't even know it is there. This pine bark extract appears to work better than the capsules I am used to taking (not Bulk Supplement brand) and I have not had any of the negative side effects I have experienced with other brands (stomach aches, head aches, etc.). I have been taking pine bark extract for a couple of years and started after a really bad cycling accident. Even when my bones had healed, I still have a lot of overall body pain and my doctor recommended this for the muscle soreness, pain I still suffered. It works well and I don't look like an 80 year old man when I get up in the mornings. I will definitely buy this product again. It is the best pine extract product I have taken and I look foreword to trying additional products from Bulk Supplements. One last thing, I noticed some reviewers of other Bulk Supplements products complained that the bag was hard to re-seal. I have never used a re-sealable bag that was great so I always put a binder clip on bags. Simple and cheap fix.

I have had so many health issues since getting a certain shot and doctors right now are baffled as to how to help me. Not to mention I also have an autoimmune disease on top of these new issues. Anyway it's supposed to help heart, brain and joint issues. Well so far I have noticed that my energy is a little better with Pine bark extract than without it. I put 1/4 teaspoon in my coffee substitute drink every morning. Most of the time the 1/4 tsp stays in lump form so I try to drink it down without stirring it so it doesn't make my coffee taste weird. But sometimes I forget and stir it all up - it mixes eventually or I find if I mix it in first with my coffee powder and sugar before I pour in the hot water then it mixes well. It adds a bit of off flavor to my coffee that way but it's not that bad. I can't say that I have noticed any other help yet other than some extra energy but from what I have read is that this can take up to 12 weeks to get the full benefit from the product. I am also adding a 1/16th bit to my dogs food every other day (they are getting really old and have some arthritis) so am hoping that it will help with their aches and pains too. I may begin to up my dose a little bit take 1/4 tsp 2x a day instead of once a day to see if I see more results. I will write more as time goes on but so far I am glad to find something that has so many benefits for the body and mind. I am over 60 years so anything to help keep me healthy is a blessing - I am allergic to most medicines so I do what I can to avoid them. This product seems to be of good quality and seems fresh (although I don't have any experience with other products yet) and was priced about the same as others online. this is first time buying this and only been couple of weeks so can't speak for long term benefits, I bought this based on reviews of others and in hopes that it would improve my general well being ... I'm old and also use natto, NAC and a few other supplements while avoiding Big Pharma products, This PBE is a tad messy so I keep the pouch in a tea caddy with a tiny 1/4 tsp to avoid spills ... taste is weird but I wouldn't say nasty, just takes some getting used to, I drop -1/4tsp into a soup spoon of yoghurt which helps to down it all at once, it definitely has an effect, but it's hard to describe, just makes me feel lighter (happier) mentally, will update in future if I notice more benefits, definitely value for money
