They are compatible with the Bose Soundlink on ear headphones.

Q: Are you supposed to remove the rigid plastic backing inserted into the replacement ear pad? The original ear pads don't have them.

YEs, remove the clear flat hard plastic ring. It's only purpose is to protect the product until it needs to be used. You can throw it away after you place the new ear pad on.

Q: I am having this problem with one ear-piece poking a hole in the other ear-piece center cover material. Will your cushions give better service?

I bought these the end of august and now 2 months later the right side has come apart! Can you replace ?
