I don't want to jinxed myself but it is heaven...
...to underground (hell) compare to what I had as a Singer ProFinish. Was dreaming about Juki for long time. Really wanted commercial one, but couldn't afford one still yet. Read other peoples reviews on diffetent Jukis household surgers , and stopped at this one. On the picture you can easily see where is Juki and where this piece of garbage from Singer examples... Feels I finally got read of toxic relationship, trying to make Singer works. Finally I'm free and torture is over. Can't be more happy just from the fist tryout, attempt to use my now own Juki. Now I need to get threads!!! Olso happy to learn that this Juki can use just simple houhold spools! That is do great when you really need the exact colors thread for your overlock fabric project!!!. It easy to find the households spools than cones. Now my Christmas present will be Juki sewing machine, so will ditch my sewing Singer too (it only wirks with one antique foot I found in the antique store, so it does not missing the loops. Well, Singer brand in America , at least that one sold at Joan fabric I got myline from (sewing machine and surger) 10 years ago, not the same my grand ma had since October revolution imported from America I guess. Now all "Zinger" made cheap you elsewhere else but America.

Awesome machine. My 3rd serger
Awesome machine. My 3rd serger. I waited to review just so I'd have some time with this machine. In short: it's great. I spoke with a knowledgeable Juki Rep and he told me the motor is the same as one of their higher end models. I recommend this MO-114D over the MO-104D. the 114 is cheaper AND comes with the upper looper converter for various additional stitches which the 104D can't make. Also the 114D has the differential feed dial on the outside of the machine so I can adjust while serging. The 104D has the dial INSIDE so you'd have to stop serging, open the machine to tune the differential feed, close up and begin again. (dunno why the 104D is $50 more for less functions). Arrived on time and in great condition. The manual is good but leaves out some details which I figured out through trial and error. The machine does not move or rattle around my table at high speed and is surprisingly reliable. No complaints. Easy to thread

Completely reliable
This Juki serger is a beast!! Stitches are always perfect and even. Most of the fabric is drapery weight or upholstery weight. The convenience of a second serger led me to purchase the same model again. I’ve gone through several other brands and this is the best that I have found.

Overlock operates good, but has a yellow stain on the bottom!
Good overlock, I’m happy with this purchase! Takes time and patience to learn threading and operating it, but it’s worth it. I was lucky to finde a few YouTube instructional videos, it made a big difference! Also I want to mention that when I opened the box and took overlock out, I noticed greasy residue on the bottom and a smell of a machine oil, I wiped it off, but a yellow discoloration is on the bottom, oil stained the white plastic and I had no luck getting it off :( My fist project was making 12 pillow cases and it turned out great! Will update later after using it for a while :) I do recommend this overlock, everything looks professionally done 👌🏻

Not working correctly.
Unwrapped this serger to find it was sitting in oil in the bag it was in and all over the bottom of the serger. I appreciated it was tested and threaded properly as they left the swatch of fabric in with the machine. I threaded it with my own (100% poly) thread carefully following the tracks of the thread and double checked everything. Now when I sew with it, the left needle is not stitching properly, as the arm quits grabbing it or something, leaving the left topstiching thread pulling on top of the seam.

Long-time Serger Sewer Loves this Machine
This is my third Serger. I had a couple of brother sergers, which were just fine and affordable. But the Juki is like going from a Volkswagen to a Mercedes. PROS: -The machine is all metal, except for the outer case. It is VERY easy to access the machinery to clean and oil, which was not the case for the Brother machines I own. -There is very little vibration and noise which seems to cut down on fatigue when I sew for hours. And the faster I sew, the vibration and noise don't increase much at all. -Sewing curves is so easy that you have to be careful to not make a curved seam by mistake. -This machine supposedly has the same motor as the higher end Juki portables, but you have to thread it yourself and there are a few less bells and whistles that you might not really need. -Very fast. The machine sews 1500 stitches a minute, which is not as fast as a commercial machine, but wonderfully fast in a portable. -Diagram in machine shows not only how to thread, but where to oil the machine. -Cutting knife is very easy to disengage and adjust. Just a touch of your finger will disengage and reengage the knife CONS: -I wish I could sew a narrower serger seam than the machine allows with 4 threads. You can narrow the width of the seam very easily, but it is still wider than I pefer to sew with. Maybe I need to sew with it more to find a better way, but I doubt it. -No catch tray for cut fabric. I am using my old Brother catch tray on this machine for the moment. I have had no luck finding anything that Juki might make to catch cut fabric and threads as sew. I'll have to explore what others are using. Overall, I am thrilled with this machine. I'm so glad I made the jump up.

I’m not a happy serger
I purchased this Juki serger in 2023. I thought because I had a Juki sewing machine, and really like it, the serger would be trustworthy. It’s not. It did well for the first 8 months or so… then it started dragging the left needle thread. It began breaking needles and making a knocking sound. I cleaned and oiled it and it seemed to help. Now it’s 2025 and it is making a mess of every project. The stitches are loose and it’s unusable. The Warranty is out and I am sick of dealing with it. I really hope I’m the only one having a problem but, be mindful before you order.
