Awesome Product - I Love It
I’ve been using the homelabs portable dehumidifier for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with it. I bought it because the humidity in my home was getting uncomfortable, and it’s made a huge difference. It pulls moisture from the air efficiently, and I noticed results within the first day. The air feels fresher, and there's no more damp smell in my bedroom. It’s also helped reduce condensation on the windows and has made the space feel much more comfortable overall. The design is compact but powerful. It runs quietly, and the water tank is easy to remove and empty. I also love that it has an automatic shut-off when the tank is full and a clear indicator light, so you know when it needs attention.

Outstanding Customer Service.
While working, it was very quiet and easy to use. It functioned very well for 10 months then suddenly quit working. I contacted hOmeLabs through [email protected]. I got a response from Customer Service within 5 hours. After providing purchase information, name and shipping address, a replacement was authorized the same day. A brand new unit arrived 2 days later. hOmelabs Customer Service is outstanding. I could not be happier with the original unit, the replacement and particularly the Customer Service Department

No help in sight.
I purchased this item in November 2024 and installed it in January 2025 after moving into my new home. I used it intermittently for a short period, and it initially worked fine. I then left for a couple of months and had the unit unplugged during that time. After returning and turning it back on, it immediately displayed an EC error and stopped working altogether. This is after only a few months of very light use, which is extremely disappointing. What makes this worse is the lack of customer service. I have tried multiple times to contact support through chat and to request a callback, but I have been unsuccessful every time. There appears to be no real customer support available. At this point, I am looking for a resolution, as this product failed far too quickly and I have not been able to get any assistance. I would not recommend this product unless the seller significantly improves product reliability and customer support.

Works great and quiet!
This is a great dehumidifier for my home. The unit is quiet, gets the job done and is easy to move around. The only thing I don’t like is the super small reservoir, I wish it were bigger. Thankfully it comes with a drain hose so I can drain it into a 5 gal bucket.

Great for Small Spaces—Effective and Reliable!
I purchased the Homelabs compact dehumidifier back in September of 2024 for my small bathroom in NYC, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The unit's compact size, along with its convenient handle and wheels, makes it incredibly easy to use and move around—excellent features for my needs! I had been battling orange mold on the ceiling and tiles, which had spread to the walls, leaving behind an unsightly glaze. Cleaning it with white vinegar felt like a never-ending chore. However, since incorporating this dehumidifier into my bathroom, maintaining a mold-free environment has become much easier. During the humid season, it’s incredibly satisfying to empty the tank two times a day, knowing that my walls are now dry and free of moisture. Additionally, I want to highlight Homelabs' outstanding customer support. After eight months of use, I noticed that the fan was running, but the tank would still be empty during humid days. I reached out for assistance and customer support responded the very next day with helpful suggestions on how to reboot the unit. After unplugging it for a day, it started working perfectly again! I’m truly grateful for this little machine and for the excellent support from Claire and Camilla! If you’re dealing with humidity issues or mold in your small space, I highly recommend the Homelabs dehumidifier. Thank you, Homelabs!

Excellent Product and Customer Service!
We bought 2 of these to use in our bathrooms since we live in a humid state. They work wonderfully and have helped tremendously. We had a small issue with one of the units and customer service took care of us. Top notch customer service which is rare these days. We will continue to purchase homelabs products and I will recommend them to family and friends.

This thing works beautifully
Our master bathroom has no fan, which I find crazy. We’ve had growing concerns over mold and peeling paint since we moved in three years ago and are always having to wipe the mirror to see ourselves after showering. This machine changed all of that. The mirror is crystal clear when we step out, and because we attached a hose that runs into our tub we are able to see how much water was being pulled out of the air, and it was significant! Set up was simple, and we hope it will last well. For its size, it’s remarkably quiet, and I offer that endorsement as the lightest sleeper in the world. It’s being used in a bathroom whose door is feet away from where our newborn sleeps too, and it has never woken him. It’s just a low, steady, no-vibration sound (initially we tried a smaller one that we had to return due to a low, loud vibration it caused). The only annoying thing about it is not having a way to disable the loud “BEEEEP!” it makes when it first turns on (I YouTubed it and everything, and I finally found someone who found a way, but I’m not that mechanical and don’t want to mess anything up.) It’s a little big and bulky in our bathroom, but I’d rather have to deal with that than with mold! This thing is [probably quite literally] a life saver.

Works but it’s mediocre.
I haven’t had this dehumidifier very long. I purchased it for a bathroom that steams up despite having a ventilation fan. The goal being to prevent mold from forming on the ceiling. After setting it up and running it, I’ll say that it is pleasantly quiet and doesn’t produce much heat. We set it to 55% and it started the fan. The humidity readout started to climb as the fan ran and then slowly started going down. After reading 51% for several hours it never shut off. I changed it to 60% and it ran for several hours and eventually shut off at 53%. I took a shower and noticed it never came on. I turned it off and back on and the fan started. Same as before, after the fan was on the readout started climbing. Eventually, it lowered the humidity enough to shut off again. It seems like it needs the fan going to move enough air for it to read the humidity correctly and turn the fan on. Even after 24 hours with 2 showers it hadn’t removed much moisture. We have a GE dehumidifier in another bathroom that is too big for the space. It holds about 4 -6 times the water and we have to dump it every other day. It is a lot louder and generates a lot more heat, but definitely removes a lot of water. You should be able to set the humidity level and have it come on when the humidity is too high and have it shut off when the humidity goes below the set point. So far I’m giving it a 3 stars. I’ll play with it more but right now I’m leaning toward returning it.
