Amer VESA Kit

I used this mount to attach my 27 inch LED cinema display to my VESA mount and it works great! super sturdy and great design, the instructions were very clear and the included tools made it really easy. I personally do not see any advantage ordering the OEM apple mount instead of this one. they did a great job with this and it's a great price for what you get!

Fit perfectly with a 27" Apple LED Cinema display and a 27" Apple Thunderbolt display. The included hardware was everything I needed to get the monitor mounts removed and attach tis adapter. Everything seemed to be high quality and both monitors are securely mounted with no issues.

It is a bit tricky to get the stand to fold down but if you persist it happens all of a sudden. The most important part after that is in the instructions if you read them. The middle screw that holds the plate has to be tightened down before you put in the shoulder screws, othrwise, they don’t line up and you go WTF

I was initially wary of installation difficulties based on reading other reviews of this product. The first time I used the torx screwdriver to start unmounting the monitor from its stand, a piece of it snapped off inside the head of the screw. Thankfully I was able to simply take it out, and the torx screwdriver still worked after that. But 1 star off for "sturdiness" of that part. You need to do some finagling to figure out which side of the metal flange and the hinge goes up (it's not clear in the instructions). After I had the little metal flange attached to the monitor with all 8 torx screws (which took forever, you have to keep tightening down the line and repeat a bazillion times), I placed the hinge on it, and then I noticed that the side holes didn't line up. Actually, THIS IS NORMAL (and fixed itself once I put the center screw in), but I didn't know that. I made the mistake of freaking out and undoing everything and trying to wedge some paper in before I slowed down and re-read other reviews. Putting in the center screw brought the side holes into alignment. So I made it more difficult than it actually needed to be. Overall installation went fine, no machining misalignment, just a lot of fiddly screw-work that took a while. I was able to then mount my old Apple 27" Thunderbolt Display on a monitor arm (that is only rated to hold monitors up to 19lbs). TBD on whether it holds up over time or not, as I only finished installing it an hour ago.

This thing is basically a clip-on afterthought for old Apple gear. It lets an Apple Thunderbolt or Cinema Display fit a VESA mount so you can shove it up on a wall or arm instead of leaving it on that giant, annoying stock stand — great idea in theory.  But let’s be blunt: the build quality feels utilitarian at best, like they recycled leftover aluminum scraps you’d find in a garage. The finish doesn’t match Apple’s classy aesthetic at all — more “budget basement mod” than “slick pro solution.”  And with no actual mounting hardware included, you’re stuck hunting down screws or arms separately. If you were hoping for a seamless upgrade to your Thunderbolt Display setup, this adapter is more of a “meh” than a masterpiece — functional but uninspired and not worth the hype.

Works great. Very similar in design to the no longer available Apple adapter, not quite as nicely finished but totally functional, the plastic protectors on the edge are a nice touch. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Most negative reviews seem to be due to the installer not closely following the instructions. When you release the stand with the card you have to push it down UNTIL IT CLICKS and locks into place. When this happens you will not be able to pull the stand back out without releasing the lock again. If you do not do this you WILL have serious problems because the VERY strong spring will rotate the attachment point around and into the monitor. Attach the cylindrical part with the screws you removed from the stand. Tighten the small screw that attaches the bracket to the adapter until it is tight before you install the shoulder bolts that go in the ends or they will not line up. The small screw has to be all the way in and tight. This will apply quite a bit of pressure to the back of the monitor, this is normal. You should at least be able to start the shoulder bolts with your fingers. You can look in the hole to judge if the threaded hole is centered. You can make small adjustments to the little screw or twist as needed. Once the hole is centered and the bolts are started (and not cross-threaded, use your fingers first) tighten them all the way. You may need the wrench after the first turn or so because the bolts may have a bit of runout but they will go in. Hope this spares someone a lot of grief.

ALmost as in the description. Needed a few changes. I had to mill the inside cavity in order to a proper mount.

The adapter worked like a charm and seems to be really sturdy. Only time will tell if it holds up as well as it should, but there are no indications that it won't - it seems well built and fits perfectly.

Nie odbiega od oryginału. Uchwyt jest równoważny dla istniejącego rozwiązania oryginalnego sprawdza się w każdym względzie. Czuć różnicę w jakości wykonania, ale nie odbiega na tyle, żeby miało to jakiekolwiek znaczenie. Trzeba pamiętać, że za monitorem lub komputerem 2 w 1 jest schowany głośnik i użycie adaptera "przygłusza" nieco działanie głośnika.
