SEM 40377 Black Heavy Bodied Seam Sealer - 7 oz.

The seam sealer worked as advertised. Allowed to seam areas on my mustang project in areas that were vertical, and it does not run.

Excellent epoxy seam sealer. Its direct to metal capable so if your in a tight spot you don't have to prime before you apply as long as the panel is clean, rust free, and scuffed. It's also paintable immediately. No waiting an hour before you can prime and paint. You can't smooth this kind of sealer with acetone. Tape and use a spreader to make a nice smooth surface. Then pull the tape and it should look the same as if you used a 1K sealer and smoothed it with acetone. These epoxy seam sealers do cure quickly though. The bottle says you have ten minutes before it starts to skin over and tape removal might become difficult. So do smaller sections and buy extra static mixing tips if you're going to be making nice taped seams. You'll need to purchase the correct sealer gun for 200ml cartridges to apply this product. Forget about thinking you can save money and push it out by hand. Not going to happen. The best part about these sealers is that they don't shrink, crack, or break down ever. Unlike the claims on 1K sealers that you know will shrink. So your seams will outlast you!

This stuff cures so fast it’s not usable! I worked in a small section and by the time I pulled my tape off, the product had cured in the tip (less than 5 mins). Additionally, the seam I laid never stuck to the underlying surface and peeled right off. Do not waste your money like I did!!!
