The language used isn't always very clear- there are times he defines one esoteric programming term using another esoteric programming term. The text is printed very large and there are more typos than there should be in a book published in the days of spellcheck. Both of these things make the book feel a bit cheap to me.Shop around- there may be a better book out there.

While I was searching for some book about computer programming I found this book and I buy it. When I read it, I know a little more about SQL programming. This book is really interesting for someone who don’t know a lot about SQL programming and in this book are many things shown clearly and what some stuffs means, but shown in an easy way, but all stuffs that I wanted to know is not shown in this book. So if you are beginner in this and if you are interested to find out more, read this book.

Covers the basics, but I prefer the Learn SQL in 10 minutes book.

Thanks Steve Tale for this informative book. I am new to SQL and I don't have a background knowledge about it. I easily grab this book for me to learn about it and I never regretted it. Very clear and specific on details about SQL. I am surely sharing this to my IT friend and get some additional ideas too.

As a programmer I bought this book in the hope of giving me a basic knowledge of SQL...and it's unreadable, the explanation of how I should write each command is badly illustrated and confusing, with many knowledge points that are not covered. At the end of each chapter I had a lot of questions so that I could only find the answers online. I'm going to buy a different one.

This was the perfect book to start learning about SQL and it is straightforward and easy to read. There are examples in the book that I tried my hands on and it really helped to learn the concepts quickly and it includes a wealth of information about programming, syntax, and coding.You cannot ever go wrong when purchasing this book.

The best part of this book is the fact it costs $5 on Kindle.I'm not exaggerating when I say it reads like a spam email. As in, every other sentence has grammatical errors - errors along the lines of: "these SQL statements is common." Imagine phrases of that nature, every other sentence. It wears on you. In other words, these are the type of grammatical errors that make me question everything the author is saying, and the credibility of this book and publisher.I ended up just doing the SQL tutorial on w3schools.com, which is free.Try looking up the author by the way. I should I done this before I bought the book. You'll find he's very private.Overall, I'm wondering if all the positive verified reviews were purchased.. for $5 per review. I don't understand how anyone can put up with the grammatical errors.

Nice book .I actually know SQL and went right to the quiz page to test my skills.i had used SQL long back and was it is still fresh in my memory.The style of the author is very nice, unique,simple and nice with encouraging words.

This is an advantageous book to begin with for learning universally useful SQL. There are bunches of hands-on cases, tests and quizzes to drive home the essentials. It is superb as a newbie guide and is additionally reasonable for individuals who need to audit and revive their memory on particular parts of SQL.

This book leads you through different SQL commands and methods supported by examples. So far so good. While some techniques are explained well and others, especially in the beginning come along with unnecessary repetition of command structure, advanced commands and.methods later in the book are kept very short and From my point of view are barely to understand without additional reading. I am missing some deeper explanations here and there.A discussion on hacking seems very vague, non-scientific. As the whole book is rather kept on a quick first query success level than aiming towards deeper understanding.Good advise on learning SQL comes at the end of the book, which could have been more useful at the start.A table of commands would have been a nice addition.The book is easy to read, but I will definitely go and get some additional material on SQL, in order to get a solid understanding.

以前は、緑の四角の上にリスが座ってる、白地の表紙だったんです。オライリーと誤認させるための。これだけでも志の低さが見てとれるデザインでした。ご注意。苦情が入ったのかな？まだ読んでないので内容の良し悪しは断言できませんが、同シリーズのPython本が紛う方なき粗悪商品だったことから（こちらはキンドルの配信ができなくなってます、これも苦情が入ったのかな？　それともデータ引き上げて逃げた？）、本品についても「買うのはやめておきましょう。SQLの入門書は他にもいっぱいあります。Kindle書籍の手軽さに負けてはダメ」と取り急ぎコメントしておくべきだろうと思いました。例によって、高評価ばかりが短期間に集中的に投稿されている米アマゾンのレビュー欄ですが、これが当てにならないのも、件のPython本と同じだろうと思います。高評価レビュー36のうち35は今年の6/10〜6/23の2週間だけで投稿されたものです。
