HOMESTEAD TransFast Dye Powder, Accent Color, Lemon Yellow

I had used this dye ( different hue) before ,with excellent results , but I thought I might try something cheaper . Well, nothing is more expensive than the "cheaper" alternative...I ended up buying this brand too, after the disappointment of the cheaper stuff. I `ve tried four different brands , but I always return to this one . For me , it`s the best dye on the market ! Five stars !

Looks great, goes on easy

It's good stuff- but read the directions, every word of it. I thought yeah-yeah and tried to take a shortcut, and everything bad they said would happen did. When I followed the directions the the letter, my piece (a guitar neck) looked fantastic. I only gave it 2 stars for cleanup but that isn't an indictment on the product. It is, after all, DYE. Dye tends to color everything it touches, which is what it is supposed to do. When it gets on something it's on to stay, just like the instructions say it will. Wear gloves and old clothes. If you have children or a cat, make sure you know where they are before you mix the stuff up.

Couldnt find a yellow stain in big box store. Found this. Mixed well. Used one application. Think it looks really good. In process of making a “dont tread on me” wooden flag. Satisfied with it so far.

Comes in powdered form, mixes easily with water, used it as a sub coat on poplar topped with rosewood stain, results are awesome! I only mixed a small batch as a little goes a long way. Bright yellow!

Stained white wood, it was very faint and took 4 coats to get it to a true yellow. And I used less water then directed.

Easy to mix and apply. Very happy!

I used it to refinish my Gibson guitar and it looks beautiful!
