After using the ZeroDerm shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion for over 14 months now, I thought I would do a full review on this hidden gem! This review is for the ZeroDerm line product line only from Ginger Lily Farms. I purchased this from Amazon in the gallon size for each product and it’s literally lasted my partner and I over 1 year. We just refill our pump bottles with the gallon size. We repurchased the body wash but still are working on the first gallon bottle of the other products. FEATURES: Everything from this brand is cruelty free & vegan! I haven’t tried other products from this brand but opted for the ZeroDerm line because it is fragrance free and allergen free — I have super sensitive skin. It is also phthalate, sulfate, and paraben free. No artificial colors or additives. SHAMPOO: 5/5 I have long wavy 2B hair that is super thick and my partner has short fine 1A hair. We both use this shampoo and it works great on both our hair types. It’s not overly stripping and lathers great. I like that it has aloe and flaxseed because that’s great for hair in reducing frizz and making it smooth. No parabens, fragrances, and SLS which is bad for your hair too. Will continue to purchase! CONDITIONER: 5/5 My partner has pretty oily hair so he doesn’t use conditioner, the shampoo is enough for his hair to stay soft. I have longer hair and work the conditioner through the ends and let it sit for 1-2 minutes as I wash my body. I absolutely love this conditioner! It has Vitamin E, Aloe, Flaxseed, Shea Butter, and seed oils which are great for your hair. It doesn’t make your hair oily and leaves it smooth and silky. It’s one of the few conditioners that is so gentle I can even use it on my skin for shaving. I use it in place of shaving cream for shaving anywhere on my body and it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin like normal shaving creams do. And no razor burn! Will continue to purchase! BODY WASH: 4.5/5 Great non-scented velvety body wash. Easily gets off dirt, grease, mud, etc and does not strip the skin. I have dry skin and my partner has oily skin and this wash works for us both because it is oil free and doesn’t strip the natural oil off your skin. The only thing I will say is that this is BODY wash, not face wash. I made the mistake of putting this on my face and got it in my eyes, and my eyes were burning— so don’t do that, it is not tear free! Super gentle on the rest of the body including intimate parts. Will continue to repurchase! BODY LOTION: 3.5/5 This lotion is pretty lightweight and works great on body, hands, and face. My partner doesn’t use lotion often but will occasionally use this in the winter and states that he likes it because doesn’t make his arm and leg hair feel weird and sticky like other body lotions do (whatever that means?) and likes that it isn’t scented. I use this lotion on my body after shaving and it is great and doesn’t irritate the skin. I’ve also used it on my face and it was fine but I prefer to use special face lotion with ceramides, so this lotion is mostly for body use. I like this lotion and think it’s great for summer use for me, but in the winter I look for something thicker because I have really dry skin. If you don’t have dry skin, this lightweight option may be enough for you. If it was slightly heavier and had ceramides, I would rate it higher Will repurchase but only a small bottle for my partner to use in winter.

My family loves it! We have lots of chemical sensitivities including fragrances. It is quite economical as well. Good quality shampoo that rinses well. IMHO, it is tons better than 365 brand (i.e. Wholefoods brand) free&clear shampoo.

NO FRAGRANCE~!!!!! I despise scented cleaning products. I've been in the factories where the scents are made. I don't know how anyone an work in them the whole place is lousy with all manner of stench. Oh and it's a perfectly good hair cleaning product. The product Does Not mold when stored for a long time.

It caused an eczema flare up which stopped right after I stopped using it. The lather was fine and the smell was too, but if you’re sensitive like me, don’t buy it.

I have eczema and that means that fragrances found in most shampoos and conditioners cause me to get a bad reaction on my body, mostly my neck and shoulders. I was looking for a good, affordable alternative and think this is really worth it. Fragrance, both in the form of added fragrance and essential oils, are a common allergen for many people with sensitive skin, especially people with eczema, and cause bad reactions. As someone with eczema, I researched as best as I can to do the best at preventing huge itchy reactions that cause me to itch all day. This shampoo does a great job at cleaning the scalp without being too stripping. It is also fragrance free which for me is not just a want, but closer to a need. I will say one issue that I found is if I get a little over the normal amount in my eyes, it will sting more than the typical shampoo. However, this goes away after a few minutes. It won't prevent me from making a repurchase but is definitely something I consider when lathering up.

Cleans well leave hair soft

This scent free shampoo is just what I was looking for. I was going crazy trying to find a shampoo that didn't stink like perfume. It seems like all shampoos and conditioners wreak of perfume and I am so sick of it especially since I am allergic to those kinds of scents. Thank god I found this scent free shampoo on Amazon and in a gallon size. It truly is scent free and lathers up quite nicely in my hair. I rinses away clean and very quickly if you have a good shower head, especially one that has the filter beads in it. I am so thankful this shampoo is available especially in a gallon size. Scent free shampoo is not cheap so this is a great deal for the price. I highly recommend this product to everyone else who wants a scent free shampoo at a great price.

To be honest, I don't really care for it. It does cleanse and clarify the scalp passably well but it also really dries out the hair and makes it fall flat and limp. This seems to be a common issue with clarifying shampoos, and I am usually able to resolve it by using a lightweight conditioner afterward but that doesn't really make much of a difference with this one. I don't recommend it for people with long and curly hair or those that want to maintain hair volume. It is unscented and I detected no unpleasant odor to it. The water is really hard where I live so I can't attest as to whether it is solely this shampoo that makes my hair fall out or the combination of this shampoo and the hard water but, either way, it does make my hair fall out in the shower more than usual. I will try to use up what I have left of it but I will not repurchase. For those that want a shampoo that does not cause scalp or skin irritation, this might be a good option. I don't have scalp issues but I do have somewhat sensitive skin and I have not experienced any adverse reactions from using this. I recommend this shampoo for people who want a budget-friendly, basic, sulfate-free, and no-frills shampoo that does not have a lot of ingredients known to cause skin and scalp irritation.
