Kasa Smart Light Bulbs, Full Color Changing Dimmable Smart WiFi Bulbs Compatible with Alexa and Google Home, A19, 9W 800 Lumens,2.4Ghz only, No Hub Required, 4 Count (Pack of 1), Multicolor (KL125P4)

I purchased these bulbs for three reasons. First, they were on sale during Amazon Prime Days. Second, being TP-Link Kasa products they work with my existing Kasa App and are also compatible with the Deco router app so I didn't need another app (TP-Link? We don't need Kasa, Deco and Taco- consolidate them already.) And Third, and most importantly, SengLED finally completely and utterly self destructed and stopped working with the Alexa infrastructure. These four bulbs on sale cost less than a two pack of the SengLED brand which require a Zigbee hub that doesn't work without the SengLED back office- which is basically dead now. For the bulbs themselves, they are slightly smaller than old fashioned bulbs, so don't try using them in a lamp that has a spring-grip shade. Setting them up is simple, have the Kasa or Deco app open, select add a bulb of this model and turn the bulb on. You will connect to it via Wi-Fi and then setup will take a couple of minutes depending on how slow/busy your local network is. On my Deco (TP-Link) network, the bulb took about 30 seconds to connect and appear. I haven't had a problem with the bulbs in the month they've been operational, so they already are doing better than the old SengLED bulbs ever did. And even when my internet connection is down; these bulbs still seem to work okay since they are controlled by the Deco routers (note: I've since moved my other Kasa devices over to the Deco app because controlling them from Kasa they do stop working if the internet connection is down.) I've been pretty please with most of the TP-Link hardware I've purchased over the years, and am glad the bulbs are apparently reliable as well.

These Kasa smart bulbs are awesome—bright, responsive, and the color options are endless. Super easy to control with Alexa, and the dimming is smooth. I love them, and they make any room way more fun.

These smart bulbs are bright, responsive and super easy to set up with the Kasa app. The color range is wide and the dimming is smooth, so it’s simple to switch from warm light to full color scenes. They connect reliably on 2.4 GHz and work perfectly with Alexa. The build quality feels solid and the bulbs run cool even after hours of use. A great set if you want hassle-free smart lighting with lots of customization. Not expensive at all.

Title says all. Added the bulbs to my Wi-Fi network via the TP Link Kasa app, installed TP Link Kasa integration into Home Assistant and after a few minutes the bulbs were detected no problem. After that you are off to the races! Use Home Assistant to configure the bulbs to power on with automations/timers, or use the Kasa software.. your choice. Been using for a couple of weeks and no major issues thus far. The real bummer is that after a power outage, when the power returns the Kasa light bulbs turn back on… even if the bulbs had been OFF before the power went off. I looked in TP Link forums and other folks have complained about this too. It is a known issue that will probably never be fixed (TP Link doesn’t have the best software update reputation). To work around this I applied a preset of “1% brightness” for the power-on state. That way if power goes out and comes back on, the bulbs are only on at 1% and don’t waste as much electricity. Power outages are rare, so this is a minor annoyance. The software seems to have a setting to account for this, but the setting isn’t fully built out. Not sure why TP Link never finished that option. I guess another workaround could be to hook the lamps with the bulbs up to a UPS, but that seems like overkill for this! Other than that the bulbs work great and the colors are awesome. I wish I could use these bulbs in “fully enclosed luminaries” but I cannot. I didn’t realize that until AFTER purchase. But it seems there is no LED smart bulb that can be used in a fully enclosed luminary. I intended to install these in fully enclosed ceiling lights, but after reading that warning decided to place them in some reading lamps instead.

Solid product. The colors are spot on. I especially like the different shades of white through the day if you set them to adjust with the time. Tried other bulbs w Alexa and they either didn't work at all or had to be reconnected all the time. What a pain! I definitely recommend these as smart bulbs for use with Alexa but... The first several bulbs I purchased, I checked the box at checkout to link them to my Amazon/Alexa and bam! They setup immediately with Alexa. I didn't have to use the manufacturer's app. However, I bought another set, checked the same box at checkout, and they did not connect using Alexa. So I downloaded the manufacturer's app and set one up and it broke the connection with all the previous bulbs and Alexa. I couldn't even delete the original ones from the Alexa app. So I... -Disabled the skill from the manufacturer's app within Alexa -Set up all the bulbs using the manufacturer's app -Deleted the Alexa app from my phone and reinstalled it (don't worry, everything is still there once you log in) -Re-enabled the skill in the Alexa app All the lights showed up in the Alexa app again. Everything was good in the Alexa app as far as routines and everything else, except the lights. I had to re-add the lights to the existing routines. So I would suggest setting up the bulbs in the manufacturer's app FIRST and enable the skill in the Alexa app. I hope this is helpful :)

I bought automation, smart plugs, smart keys. But this tp link bulb is the best purchase I did this year. It works seamlessly. No need for extra HUB. Directly connects to the internet. Kaza app is easy to use. Alexa enabled too.

I enjoyed it so far using this smart bulb especially to create an atmosphere of brightness when I wake up in the morning. Great quality product.

Son buenos y cumplen con su función pero tienen MUCHOS PROBLEMAS. He puesto 5 estrellas NO por que sea el mejor producto, lo he puesto por que cumple con lo que necesito, SIN EMBARGO, tienen mucho problemas de conexión. Siempre se desconectan y cuando das la orden de encender o de apagar, el asistente de Google (yo tengo un nest Hub y un nest mini) siempre tienen problemas y retrazos al encender o apagar las luces. Me parece que los focos de Phillips son una mejor opción debido al sistema que tienen, si te alcanza, YO iría por ellos y no por estos ya que, a largo plazo, pueden ser muy frutarantes. La aplicación acaba de actualizarse pero no me ha gustado nada la forma en va el diseño y su funcionamiento. Tengo varios meses de usar este modelo y otros de un modelo que solo son color blanco. Espero les sirva mi experiencia.

I have several of these bulbs in many lamps in the house. They work really well and last longer than the power bars, which tend to stop working after a while and cannot be connected to the network. These also rarely disconnect from the network and stay added. I use mine with Google Assistant. The bulbs cut down on the amount of bars and cables and just keep things simple. Other great things are that these work on a 5G band. It's really easy to control the colour and warmth of the light. The app is very easy to use and the lights connect in an instant unlike some other brands. Some things that can be improved: the colour control is a little buggy, the brightness level changes don't register at times.
