Item defective not working
Item never worked. I changed the battery and still it didn’t work. Also it’s missing one calibration solution

I was using a cheap refractometer that I bought on Amazon but it was giving me funny readings and seemed to need calibrating almost every time I used it. To save myself worry, I decided to invest in this salinity pen. Calibration is super easy and checking tank salinity is as simple as dunking the pen in the tank and turning it on. I have a squeezy bottle of RO that I keep handy for rinsing probes etc, which makes it very easy to give the pen a quick rinse before putting away. I had my water tested at the store where they use the Milwaukee digital refractometer and it was giving the same reading as this pen, so I'm fairly confident it's accurate.

If your used to S.G don’t forget to set measurements to that. By default it’s on PPT and NOT S.G I made the mistake and flooded my tank with RO.

Questo rilevatore di salinità è di una perfezione e comodità fuori dal comune. D'altronde il marchio HANNA Instruments è noto negli ambienti della biologia da laboratorio e chimica. Consigliatissimo!

Gerät kam defekt aus Amerika an. Batteriedeckel und Kunststoffcase waren kaputt. Rücksendung hätte mich 50 Euro gekostet welche ich zahlen hätte müssen. Laut Post hätte das Gerät keine Chance beim amerikanischen Zoll und wäre zurück gekommen. Dann wären die 50 Euro futsch. Kulanz vom deutschen Amazon nach mehreren Telefonaten. Geld zurück und Gerät in den Müll...
